Casting and Ethnicity
abreasvazalaris30 January 2018
The talent of Hollywood has never failed to portray their ignorance of the world outside the United States of America. I fail to understand why Hollywood insists on casting actors that look nothing like the nationality or ethnicity of the character they are suppose to portray.

An Indian portraying a Syrian, simply doesn't work, a Saudi Arabian portraying a Syrian doesn't work either. They look different, they sound different. Mediterraneans are of a different ethnic origin than those of the sub continent. I just fail to see why they cannot cast an Egyptian to play an Egyptian's role, a Russian to play a Russians role etc...

I recall watching The Night Of, and the first thing that stood out was the Iranian actor who was portraying a Pakistani (the father.) Overtime he came on screen I would just concentrate on his English Iranian accent and wonder why coudnt they case a more suitable actor.

Another Trip to the Far Side
Hitchcoc22 November 2022
The principle "villain" is a woman who gave up her son as a young mother. He now has a bad heart and faces death. He also has a rare blood type. So this sets things in motion as she wreaks havoc on anyone who gets in the way of her crusade to get a heart and proper transfusions. But, eventually, she is willing to make a huge sacrifice. Continuing another strain, Tom has those bones and gives them to doctor friend to find DNA and a match. But there are others equally interested. Tom wants to go after Red, but we should remember that he is already number one on the most wanted list. The ending is a bit touching. But what happens to the famous suitcase with the bones sets up the next offering.

False facts
ratkove1 June 2019
I know this is a tv show, a fiction, but if you are depicting real countries etc. at least don't invent stuff about them. Montenegro doesn't have a king let alone a princess named Sonya... Montenegro is not a monarchy and it hasn't been one in 100 years

So much nonesense

Warning: Spoilers
I don't know where to start. First the depiction of montenegro was complete BS

Secondly the motive of "the endling" - her extrem to connection to a son she doesn't know at all.

Thirdly EK is just becoming a ridicolous character who just does what he wants.

Fourth, the medical side of it, i can't even begin how much BS that is.

On the plus side, they didn't hire American actors to speak the worst german in cinema, again.

Spare parts
dierregi21 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I usually enjoy this show, even if - or because of - its extreme implausibility (to say the least), but in this episode they're stretching it really thin. Not even considering the "princess" of Montenegro (a country that's not a monarchy...)

Nirah, a Syrian woman, destroys last item/species with the only purpose of getting rich and provide for her son, affected by an extremely rare illness - yeah, sure, she's a "good criminal" because she's a mother.

Her last heist is "stealing" a heart to replace her son's, who she'd given to adoption. Therefore, first Nirah kidnaps the unwilling donor, then her own son from his adoptive family and finally starts the surgery with a conniving doctor.

However, the not so brilliant FBI team and Reddington stops her just before the heart's extraction and allow her to continue the procedure, by offering her own heart. In a selfish child's dream becoming true, a mother literally dies to "offer" her heart to her son.

Parents everywhere beware of the possibility of ending up as spare parts.
