Out of all the characters we got in this show, I would never have imagined a talking calculator and a thousand year old vampire got together to talk about their adventures and experiences.

After so many 'heavy' episodes recently, it's nice to have a breath of fresh air, even if it's mostly about past events you already know about.

One thing that surprised me in a good way was the originality and randomness of this episode, it doesn't feel forced or anything, you could say it's filler though, but it shows you how much has happened lately from a different point of view and animation.

SCORE: 7,50.

Wholesome

After two miniseries back-to-back, it's refreshing to see a lighthearted yet powerful episode explore the aftermaths of such adventures through the eyes of two of the best secondary characters, Marceline and BMO. Sure, there's not much going on in this episode but it doesn't have to be like that here. What makes this episode so great is how each of them catch up (hence the pun) by telling their experiences from the past couple of episodes, accompanied by a different art style that showcases their personality.

Amazing

It's nice to have an amazing storytelling episode from Marceline and BMO. They had a unique vision on their recent events during the Islands miniseries and before the Elements Miniseries. The guest animation was outstanding. As well as a guest star J. G. Quintel.

Ketchup is one of Adventure Time's most creative episodes. It brings together two characters that rarely have interactions with each other, Marceline and BMO, as they play catch-up--"ketchup"--in order to learn about what has gone on in each other's life recently since they each have went through major escapades and dilemmas. As each character tells about their experiences, the stories are depicted through alternate new animation art styles. As Marceline perceives BMO as a child, the animations we get are very child-friendly. As BMO has the imagination of child, the animations for his segments are very whimsical. The final story segment is one of my favorite scenes in Adventure Time as the show touches on a topic so dear to Marceline, a topic the show has only touched on once before. All-in-all, Ketchup shows Adventure Time at its most beautiful.
