That went way too quick

I personally loved the series. I can't wait for the second season. Somebody noted that they thought this was a poorly conceived series. Well, I guess there are always critics and Art is subjective. I have to vehemently disagree.

Fantastic season finale. From the beginning, the episode will keep your heart rate up. The writers packed a lot of trouble into one episode. And I thought the players gave a fine performance.

Episode 1.6

It was always a question why the MI5 were so hell bent on pursuing people to stop the information about the sun destroying the planet getting out. Were the operatives lied to or given false information by their superiors?

At least we get an answer to this in the final episode. Grace Morrigan who has gone through the series threatening people with a low gravelly voice. Now the tables are turned on her as her own family is threatened and Hicks and Renko tell her that they will get her in trouble for selling secrets.

We never really get to know why Hicks killed Alex Butler but it is intimated that Butler was a child abuser.

The crime story of the episode which could easily be fitted in 'Luther' was an internet killer who preyed on people who wanted to end it all. One of Hick's officers goes off to investigate on their own with Hicks and Renko giving chase. It was a bit of an eye opener.

On the whole a poorly conceived series.

Can tell that the person who gave the 10 did not see the final episode..... Obviously didn't watch the show..... To visually see a flare that big coming from the sun, there will be no second season, as there would be no living creatures left on land, and most likely the sea as soon as that flare stripped away our atmosphere. This day in age we couldn't handle a 50x flare like the Carrington event, let alone one of this magnitude..... Can't have a second season without anyone around...... So obviously knows nothing about how the sun works or just plain didn't watch this episode.....
