Its okay

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is good to watch with the family. But it I wasnt expecting for this movie to end the way it did. I get that the main character, Faith, is 18 years old wants to know who she is. I would've expected for her to take on the ranch that her mom gave her after passing away and run it with Blake and Cory. It seemed like once Faith's friends from the city showed up on the ranch, that they were all gonna turn it around and have rodeos right there. I'm kinda disappointed in how it ended.

Maybe for very young teens
Hitchslapped27 May 2019
I'm probably not the target audience for this. I guess it's for 13yo girls. The acting is pretty bad but I guess most of this comes from the horrible dialogue. There is hardly any emotional impact and the characters don't behave realistically. Don't watch this movie if you have anything better to do but you shouldn't be afraid to put this on for your kid.

Bad editing, bad acting, and week storyline
grhstorm1 August 2022
The plot has great potential but the editing left a lot of holes. It seemed like there was way more story filmed than what survived the cutting room floor. Scenes just cut away. Sub-plots were left unfinished. It wasn't a waste of time but it isn't something I'm going to recommend or ever watch again.

For me, it was terrible
tleannesutton-463176 July 2019
I have to admit I'm not the target audience as I'm a little bit older LOL however I usually like these sappy teen dramas but this was terrible and I am sorry to say that cuz I really wanted to like it. The dialogue felt forced and unemotional which made the acting appear stiff and untalented. It was really hard to get to the end. I hate having those feelings of yay this movie finally ended. Perhaps for a tween audience or even a little younger it would be fine to kill an hour and a half.

A waste of an hour and a half

Warning: Spoilers
There were so many holes in this storyline. Why did mother leave her? Why did her father not want to help her when she faced jail time? Poorly executed!

Horrible!!!

Strait to Hulu release. I get it now. Add 1 headline actor in the teaser...suck people in. Once you get in 30 minutes you want to see where it goes. It doesnt get any more palatable. I checked a few times to see how much time was left to the end.

The worst.

Laughable acting that was ridiculously bad. I question why in the world did Lou Diamond Philips agree to do this. He must have owed somebody big time for this.

Nice to see something you can watch as a family. Down to earth film. Great cast.

Sooooo bad!
mzmojorizn-406897 October 2022
I decided to watch this because I love Lou Diamond Phillips. After a few minutes all I felt was embarrassment for him. This is the cheesiest, most implausible, badly acted movie I've ever seen. The entire premise is far fetched. The reactions of the actors to real life situations were just awful. So fake. The only positive thing I can say about this movie is that the horses were pretty! Sadly they don't get much screen time. Truthfully, their acting was better than the entire cast! C Thomas Howell was actually scary to look at. He looks like some wild, homeless person. Do yourself a favor, and skip it. I'll be here mourning the hour and a half that I can't get back!!!

Wasted Potential
ResidentEvil2Fan24 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This movie had a ton of potential with the list of actors including Brighton Sharbino, C. Thomas Howell, Jason London and Lou Diamond Phillips. But what follows is a film with some rather horrible acting that calling it wooden would be an insult to wood. To me, the faults for the bad acting lie at the hands and feet of the director and writer, who couldn't put together a competent package as the people running around the baseball stadium scene goes absolutely nowhere, even though the girl and dad returned to the same ballpark at the end of the film.

While this movie tries to present positive messages of finding yourself and forgiveness and that stuff, it fails to deliver on showcasing the messages to its viewers as various storyboarded pieces just talked about and then dropped after a couple of minutes of dialogue or screen time.

Just a waste of my time that I am glad I didn't pay to watch as it was included on Amazon's FreeVee.

Was surely written by a child

Warning: Spoilers
I had medium high hopes for this movie when I saw that it wasn't filmed in British Columbia like all other Hallmark-esque movies. First off, the lead actress was terrible. Must have been her first acting job, but I believe that is wasn't. Every action and reaction she made was overdone. Maybe it was the director, not curious enough to find out. The story was contrived to get her to the ranch, but I tried not to let that bother me. I knew it was well intentioned to get through the juvenile angst part. I had high hopes once she arrived at the ranch. My hopes weren't rewarded and were completely smashed by the ludicrous ending. What could have been a sweet movie of a girl finding her place in the world become more teenage angst. I'm so disappointed by the ending I can barely give 3 stars. And please remember feel good movie makers, you've got to have a feel good ending. This ending left me in despair for the younger generation.
