Awesome Animation and Characters
Dennis_D_McDonald11 May 2018
In a world where gods, demons, and humans live uncomfortably close together, a decade-old peace is threatened by political and personal animosities. An evil thought to have been permanently imprisoned now threatens the world's stability. Violence and war now encroach on the uneasy peace.

Into this environment emerges young Nina, a child of the remote "dragonfolk." Feisty, super-strong, impetuous -- and downright cute -- she struggles to control her tendency to transform into a firebreathing dragon at inopportune moments. We follow her through the 24 episodes as she learns how to control her emotions and her transformation skills. Around her revolves an amazingly detailed, complex, and fantastic sequence of events.

Some of this is just plain silly (a talking duck?) but the artwork, animation, and production values at times are stunning. Individual characters move and talk realistically. Battles are fought with amazing weapons and technologies.

It's world-building on a grand scale, but we never lose sight of individual characters.

It takes a while to catch on to the nuances if you have not watched Season 1 of this series. But it is well worth the effort. Character animation is, in a word, superb. It's a long series but well worth the time and attention.

Gets Under Your Skin

What starts as a quirky tale around a girl coming to a city with a problem of races and injustice a series of half-revelations around a vigilante quickly indicate that the story-tellers are attempting to do something much more. Fans of the previous series will find familiar characters supporting a new lead, who is charming and overwhelmingly optimistic. This is needed in the light of the morally corrupt and bleak world crafted around her.

What goes well goes really well. Animation and voice acting in the original Japanese is excellent, adding a great deal to the characters beyond the visuals. Most of the 3d art is non-intrusive, lending its strengths to most of its applications. Action sequences and in particular some dance sequences are beautiful and emotive.

What doesn't go so well has to do with infuriating and illogical actions that serve only to string out the plot, interrupting the flow at times. Character development is done late in the series, taking a long time before revealing answers to big questions that only satisfy in a few cases. Those few cases that are satisfying are still enjoyable, even the ones that are predictable.

Since this series is a love story first, and action adventure series second, there is a moral downfall to the love interest, unfortunately it is debatable whether they are sufficiently redeemed at the end of it; this likely contributes to the mixed consensus on how the series ends. With likeable characters and some great sequences, if you enjoy the fantasy action side of the story, and don't pay too much attention to the politics, then there is lots to love here.

Great Watch

Story: 8/10

In Terms of Story Writing it did a lot of things good like unexpectedly deaths of characters, introduction of the main cast Nina and telling a high quality fantasy story .In the ends it lacks a little bit of quality because you see that they tried to put as much as much as possible in the last few episodes instead of telling a story evenly exciting.

Art: 9/10

Just like the prequel, the art in this Anime is the best you can hope for a fantasy anime ,sometimes its a little bit overexposed but still top-notch animation from studio MAPPA

Sound: 9/10

Even trough i didn't liked the first opening very much its second opening and ending is on the same eargasm level as from the prequel . The Background sounds in fights or in emotional moments enhance the feelings that the show wants you to express.

Characters: 8/10 It has some Clishee characters like the King or Azazel but still it has a good main cast Nina which continues the good female part like in the prequel. Every characters backgrounds get explained really good so that you feel with them as they die or have epic moments. Same Thing as in the Story Section the ending for each character felt a little bit to swift thats why only can give 8 Points.

Enjoymend: 10/10

I really liked the anime not only because I'm a fan of fantasy but also of great emotional storys and musicial background. Each episode got me really excited and through the good animation i felt entertained.

Overall: 9/10

To summerize the whole show i would say that if you have a thing for fantasy storys with great characters and good animation you should watch this and the prequel.

Miraculous

Warning: Spoilers
Rage of Bahamut Virgin Soul. A tale of ten years after the near destruction of Bahamut at the hands of Favaro, Azazel, and Kaiser are brought back together under extreme circumstances along with a new addition Nina. A young vibrant girl with vast power of both strength, and an ability to turn herself into a red dragon. What is so surprising about her gift is that when ever she is around a man that is attractive her unstable gift goes into hyper mode that helps her turn into a dragon with sometimes cataclysmic results. Still innocent she does manage to keep herself in check unless it is being close to Charioce. A king who has been overseeing Bahamut in its slumbering stage. With the kingdom torn between demon, and humans it is a tenuous peace that must overcome their differences in order to stop the soon to awake Bahamut that will rain terror, and sheer destruction to the kingdom.

In between them all are angels who are also on the rise to stop Charioce from inadvertently waking up Bahamut but soon realize that what he is doing is to stop the fearsome dragon in its tracks with the help of Nina. For the last few months this has been a very satisfying series with its endless action, humour, fantastical elements of magic, and fortitude of each character as they all try to end the nightmare but at great cost. Such as... the revived Jeanne De Arc whose son was once a part of Azazel's demon horde that is killed by one of Kaiser's lone soldiers who had fits of rage of not being able to do anything heroic.

Stemming from her son's death she receives again the holy ambrosia she had once carried into battle years before to help the angels win the war against Charioce, and finally defeat Bahamut. Yet at the same time while both Nina, and her beloved Charioce use an ancient weapon solely for defeating gods themselves also lose something important. Her voice, and his sight completely. It is a great set of episodes laced with camaraderie, friendship, love, hope, life, and funny pranks pointed at a drunk god who only sits on his duff drinking wine all day, and night. It is considered to be one of the more popular series to date along with Made in Abyss, Smartphone, Yokai Apartments, and many others that has helped the viewers await new tales, and new series coming soon. Bahamut virgin soul right now as it stands has become an iconic piece of art, along with a wonderful musical soundtrack that harbours beautiful choir filled segments during battle scenes.

On a scale of one to ten, this definitely deserves ten stars for its brilliance, charisma between characters, exquisite artistry, and animation. By far it is a miraculous stage of fun, happiness, sadness, tragedy, betrayal, and resolve. Highly recommended for ages fourteen and above.

Warning: Spoilers
I didn't like watching anime before, 💖 But when i saw the fan made AMV in youtube, they caught my attention then I decided to watch this anime, I love how Charioce prioritizes his goal while Nina decides not to give up on love, a little tragic in the end, But the important thing is that they are still together. Charioce is a very interesting character and also Nina i love the chemistry of them. I love this anime so much, i hope there would be another season that is all about Charioce and Nina. 💖

wow what a disappointment

Warning: Spoilers
The storyline was terrible, as was the romance between the king and Nina. There's so much more that is bad about this anime, but I don't even know where to start. Basically it's ok to be a terrible human being and have someone fall in love with you. What trash.

Not the same as the first
yaschoolwork2 August 2019
I, personally, love this season. It was more of a romance than action but I thoroughly enjoyed it overall. The beginning is really slow, but it gets better after a couple of episodes.
