Good episode

This was a good episode with a clever switcheroo. Not an original switcheroo, I remember a similar one on the old "Mission: Impossible" show in the 60's.

Having Alex nearly drown is one way to do away with her pregnancy, and keep her an active member of the team. It wasn't mentioned specifically (unless I missed it) but I assume she miscarried during her fight and near drowning.

The only complaint I have is the background music, which went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and .... you get the idea. Hey producers, it doesn't add drama to the show, it detracts from it!

Deep Cover

Alex is in some kind of Alcoholics Anonymous group for spies and she is also pregnant, presumably by her Italian boyfriend.

Alex is not a drunk, nor is Mike an inmate in prison with Ryan standing by as guard watching Alex and Mike having a loving kiss when she comes to visit Mike.

It is all an elaborate plan to smoke out defence contractor Garrett King whose organisation that was once the darling of the Pentagon is now person non grata. King to earn a dishonest dollar now works with America's enemies. Uncle Sam isn't happy.

King uses a middle man to pressurise Alex to assassinate a rogue North Korean defector by placing Mike in danger. The black ops team do an effective switcheroo to convince everyone of the assassination. However Alex puts herself in danger when it comes to nailing King.

An effective enough stand alone episode but it is clear that this is a different show from the previous two seasons with its complicated plots and timelines.
