Alain Chabat always makes good movies!

Santa & Cie is the new film from Alain Chabat. He comes back with light jokes, funny, and adapted for the family, including kids. The story is interesting, full of situations where you say « Oh non, c'est Pas possible! »! Santa & Cie is a family comedy to watch with a cup of hot chocolate, cookies and a blanket.

Lovely film! It exceeded my expectations!

With a promising trailer, I was hoping to be able to add this movie to my list of favorite Christmas movies (Home Alone 1 & 2, Christmas with the Kranks, The Grinch, Love the Coopers and a few more). Well, now, the movie became one of my favorite indeed and has been added to the annual Christmas-watchlist tradition! Enjoy the fun-tastic christmassy movie!

Very good family moment

We enjoyed watching this comedy with my 2 daughters (12 and 10). It's very funny to see how Santa copes with modern world, and, of course, how people react when confronted to him. It's not Alain Chabat's best movie (Asterix et Obelix : mission Cleopatre or La Cité de la Peur are better), but it's really worth being bought or rented on SVOD paltforms.

Love it, A different perspective of Santa

It's nice to see how santa deals with today's world and how to problem solve and keep children happy. I love the magical powers santa have. Alain chabat is an amazing director & actor plus the visual effects were amazing and beautiful. As a non speaking french woman, the English version of Santa & Cie was one of my fave films. Just wish it was shown in Singapore theatres .....

Crazy Santa
kosmasp9 December 2020
Yes Santa is real. Come on what did you think? Ok so he is out of touch and quite inconsistent it what he knows about the world we humans live in (he's not from this world you know), but can you blame him? He only has a whole year doing nothing to inform himself ... ah I think I'm making the opposite case of what I meant to make ... maybe we should start from the top.

All kidding aside, this French movie is good fun to say the least. It is quite out there and quite insane. You have to suspend your disbelief ... and then some. But it is fun and it light entertainment. It is in the right spirit and it really is joyful overall ... with some bumps along the road. This may be one of the best Santas (or performance thereof) .. at least imho! And no offense to Billy Bob Thornton ... though technically he wasn't "real" so he's in a different category anyway

Wonderful Christmas movie
honourabledri16 November 2023
I came across this film at random and I'm so glad I did. This was a very unique perspective of the Santa story. The graphics are top notch and does not feel like a cheap Christmas flick. The story is consistent with terrific acting by main and supporting characters. The show humanises Santa in a way that makes you sympathetic with his dilemma. Or also presents the story of the modern family working extra hard to make ends meet. It also captures the innocence of the child. How "selfish" yet selfless they may be. This is my new favorite Christmas movie, I'll definitely be watching it again this Christmas season!
