Every time new mother Maura goes near baby Amy, she inadvertently sends the infant into hysterics. Exhausted, frustrated, and quietly resentful of the connection that her husband has with Amy, Maura is unable to voice her feelings and refuses to admit that she needs help. Left alone with Amy, Maura becomes fixated on the idea that their might be other sinister forces at work, causing her unease.
