Three years on...Brexit, new PM
safenoe26 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Three years on from season 1 (which screened in 2014, when David Cameron was Prime Minister and no-one had heard of Brexit), season 2 starts showing us the crucial final phase - cameras have followed crews for the past 3 years. Since then we've had Brexit, ad a new PM. Maybe the production has a tight budget, but the soundtrack song for this series should have been The Final Countdown, by Europe, rather ironically!

We see Linda Miller, Crossrail Project Manager. Linda is American and according to the Crossrail website, Linda moved to the other side of the world in March 2017 to help build the Sydney Metro project.

I loved how in this episode Whitechapel is described "vibrant community" - code word for ethnic I guess, if you know what I mean. I don't often hear Knightsbridge being described as "vibrant".

The Queen visits the Elizabeth Line so that was good on her part.

I hope one of the tube stations will have a memorial to Jean Charles de Menezes.
