Simply Lovely!
kz917-129 November 2017
Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith are familiar to you if you watch When Calls the Heart.

Their chemistry is perfect in this light hearted movie about being your best self when you get married and how to make sure your marriage lasts.

Funny and sweet this movie will make you smile and laugh.

A cute wedding themed chick flick

Wedding movies aren't usually my thing, but this one was enjoyable. I liked the idea of bridal boot camp, and the ending also was very good.

Aerobics Marriage Instructor - Smacks of a Great Movie
DVK123413 October 2020
Hallmark sure knows how to write 'em. Molly is a marriage counselor/fitness instructor. I think that's all that needs to be said. Oh yes, and she meets the man of her dreams and of course, lots of predictability because it's Hallmark. But a cute movie, and what you would expect.

Aiming For Less Than Perfect
atlasmb14 September 2020
This television movie includes most of the elements of a typical Hallmark film. And it is rather predictable, as expected. But it does a couple of things that are different or unique.

The main character, Molly (Pascale Hutton), conducts Bridal Boot Camp sessions in a fitness center. She combines exercise with counseling for brides-to-be. During her course, she incorporates six necessary skills for a healthy relationship, like communication and honesty. Writer Rick Garman cleverly uses these teaching moments to advance the story, showing that one relationship might not be so perfect, and indicating that another match might be in the cards.

While this story includes the usual fairytale elements, it also includes a dose of realism. Not all of the relationships end with a walk down the aisle. And it demonstrates that brides who try to create a wedding experience to match the perfect fantasies in their heads should consider taking a more relaxed approach to planning a memorable wedding. This film is recommended for all potential bridezillas.

The chemistry between the two leads is fairly good. Perfection is not necessary anyway, right?

Pascale and Kavan
Jackbv12329 June 2017
It doesn't take long in this movie to see that there is great chemistry between these too. It is little things. And it is in the smiles and laughter which is contagious even if the jokes aren't lol by themselves.

I say this as one who doesn't care for Pascale's character on When Calls the Heart, so don't think you can only love this movie if you follow the TV show. The character Molly is in no way irritating or overbearing.

Molly is a woman who cares for all her "neighbors", even when they sin against her. There is one scene where she does just that and you can see that this person is real in her love, not just a do-gooder. And with all the talk about her being left at the altar, Molly doesn't waste her time reviling the would-have-been-groom, whom I believe remains unnamed. Molly's flaw may be that she pours it all onto herself, not others. While this is unselfish, it goes too far to the other side where self-doubt becomes unhealthy.

This movie makes me wish I could know Pascale a little better, not in a selfish or lustful way, but thinking that perhaps the actress might be a role model that I can learn from.

While this movie has no great surprises and is like all Hallmark romances in predictability, I was engaged all the way though by this story of an endearing couple.

Bridal boot camp!
Reno-Rangan14 December 2017
A simple romance-drama from Hallmark. For a cinephile like me, this is neither a good nor a bad film. Because I was not expecting another 'The Notebook'. It was made for television audiences, so they probably would enjoy it. Particularly females, the middle-aged ones. There's nothing special about it. No surprises. Everything was developed from a decent platform.

This is about an ex-marriage counselor turned fitness trainer for brides. Alongside yoga and exercise, giving confidental speeches to boost their beliefs, she was doing well. Especially since her relationship broke in a crucial stage. But she's destined to meet another man, a photographer, which quite takes a twist in the beginning itself. The remaining is to tell us how things turn out for them.

Don't hate me for not liking it as you did. It was an okay watch, without any excitement. Just like fairy-tales, the entire film was predictable, especially the end. But I did not know in visually, so I watched it. Except it is being an ordinary tale about finding love, the performances, the production was good. So this is not everybody. But if you want to try it, knowing you are not the target audience, at least try to respect it.

The perfect pair
MIssM1913 June 2017
I have been waiting for this movie for a MONTH and it finally premiered: the main reason? Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith. If you watch When Calls the Heart you know why. If not… well to make things short you can actually sense that they great friends in real life and they always make you smile. I personally laugh a lot with Lee and Rosemary. Their chemistry is explosive.

June Weddings movies are definitely NOT my favorite, I've seen movies in which the leads get married after a few weeks/months of knowing each other and that's ridiculous. But since they paired these two I've been very excited about the movie. I'd take everything they give me with Pascale and Kavan

Molly meets Nick and they hit off immediately,- they seriously had me smiling since scene #1 - So imagine her surprise when she discovers that Nick is engaged and her fiancée will be taking her classes. Of course. And Jenna is everything you expect her to be: you are going to hate her (or at least dislike her A LOT.)

The story develops in the typical way Hallmark movies do. Molly and Nick had me laughing out loud more than once. Great script - I may have spotted two or three details but I let them slip - Something I haven't paid attention before but it was beautifully directed, the director played with the mirrors and it was so pleasant. Also, no pre-ending drama, which is a bonus, To be honest, most of the characters are not very interesting. However, Pascale truly shines in this movie, she stole the spotlight. And Kavan didn't disappoint.

To sum up, the story in particular doesn't outshine - that's why i'm giving this a 9 -, but what definitely makes this movie special - it is going to my favorite Hallmark movies list - are Pascale and Kavan. Their relationship is a pleasure to watch, whether they are themselves, Rosemary and Lee or Nick and Molly.

I really hope Hallmark considers pairing them on a movie again.

Most Predictable Movie Ever
leonorsepulvedalencastre25 February 2018
I actually predicted EVERY single scene from this movie, couldn't be more of a cliché. Only thing that saves the movie is the actress' smile.

BAD!

Chemistry at its Best
bjeliason17 June 2018
There is an old saying you can't buy chemistry or fake chemistry something like that and it is so true so when you see chemistry like Pascale and Kavan's you just want to watch them anytime they are in anything.

I loved this movie and its sequel, it had enough stuff to keep it interesting and real well as real as any movie on Hallmark can be.

Just watch them in anything together and I would love to Kavan do a cooking show check him out on Home and Family cooking.

By way Kavan is so super cute/hot I love his smile.

One of the Best June Wedding Movies
MovieTVRomanceFan20 January 2019
This was a truly lovely movie and I enjoyed every minute watching it. This film along with a few I hold in the highest regard as some of the Best Hallmark Wedding Movies and this is definitely one of the top best movies ever. Anyone watching will instantly fall in love with the characters, especially the stars of the film, Molly and Nick. They are so refreshing to watch and I loved seeing them together as they were so cute and sweet and they made each other happy whenever they are together. Plus I loved watching Molly's class and the friendships that were built between all the soon to be brides. However, I gotta say Nick's fiancée, Jenna was so ruthless. I couldn't believe how far she was willing to go to have the best wedding. In the end though, Nick and Jenna parted ways, leaving Nick and Molly happily together at last.

Overall, This is One of the Best Hallmark Wedding Movies and it's a film that you can watch again and again without ever getting bored.

Pretty Close to Perfect
SleeplessinDenver12 August 2023
Let me start by saying I don't recall seeing Kavan Smith in anything before this and Pascale Hutton only once in the Sci-Fi channel classic Behemoth (ok maybe not). I was struck instantly watching their first scene together. They were so well matched and had wonderful chemistry. (I found out later that they indeed have worked together - and it shows here.)

There is nothing particularly unique about the storyline and with other actors this could have been a yawner or time filler at best.

However, the two leads really sold it and make you root for them throughout.

And what about Leanne Lapp? Up to this point she has played mostly supporting roles, usually as the sister of the love interest. I've seen her now in several Hallmark movies and she is definitely long overdue for her own movie!

Good work as well by Anna Van Hooft who goes a bit overboard in her quest for her "perfect" wedding. And I must mention Iron Chef chairman Mark Dacascos in a small role.

This was certainly among the best that Hallmark has offered up.

My Favorite Hallmark Movie

Warning: Spoilers
I thought this film was really good; funny, touching without being mushy, Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton were a great match. I think it was a clever premise that Molly was running a bridal boot camp and being a marriage counselor after being left at the altar. I felt so bad for Molly when she found out Nick was engaged, her crestfallen look was right on while her smile was so dazzling. Even Nick's fiance, while initially unlikeable turned out to be ok. I thought the wedding dress controversy was unique and actually had some funny moments in it. I also like the character Claire (Jennifer Oleksiuk), good to see her career is taking off.
