Excellent start to the 2nd season of "Slasher"

Very promising start, with foreboding, character development and blood & guts, in about equal measures. The flashback structure keeps you on your toes; it is also refreshing, like it was in the 1st season, to watch a slasher series / film which is not overwhelmed by self-referential irony. *** out of 4.

An amazing start

5 years ago they all worked at a camp for kids and they all killed a black girl out of jealousy because he's in love with peter I guess. Then in winter they came back to the resort to take the remains out of the hole they put because they'll build a large hotel in the area and the body could be found. Gene the market owner was killed with a chainsaw in the sauna. He was literally parted in two. Then the one that was in love with peter made out with him again and when she went to the forest, she found the body of the black girl tied to trees from his limbs. And the killer (it looks like urban legend's killer costume) showed up and tied her on the ground and stabbed her in the throat. She looked like a red angel on the white snow. And they were disconnected from the modern world because the phones not working and they entered a room and the killer wrote I know you killed her in blood on the wall. It was such a great start. Hope it'll be at least as good as the third season and as bloody as that one.

When Death Comes Close

In a new Slasher story we go back 5 years ago, a group of friends camping at the forest they are offering Talvinder because she betrayed her friends with something but she was still alive. In the present the group of friends go again camping but in another composition and in a winter setting. The friend had a summer camp 5 years ago Talvinder got introduced as a new member of the camp. It turns out that they killed Talvinder 5 years ago and her body is buried in the forest. Some of the actors in the first season are back in other roles Christopher Jacot as Antoine in the first season he played Robin and Jefferson Brown as Gene in the first season he played Trent McBride. Gene got killed by someone with a chainsaw he gots cut in two halves in front of the sauna. The friends go back to the place they buried Talvinder, they buried her behind some stones but her body has disappeared. Andi found Talvinder her corpse in the forest but got smashed down by Gene's killer. Andi got killed by the killer he cuts her in her neck. Peter found Andy in the snow completely in blood. The killer wrote with blood: I know that you killed her. In a flashback 5 years ago Talvinder got killed by Andi, that is the reason why Andi was killed first. Really good start of Slasher Season 2 with two murders the first episode, Gene and Andi were killed by the anonymous serial killer. Really nice new storyline.
