Well mixed, but fun

The feeling of confusion follows almost every episode, where in part it looks like an anime of obscene desires, in the end it also proves a story of people, discovering who they are and what they want.

A fun way to approach the subject, it is worth watching.

A fun series that is far less offensive than it could have been

Warning: Spoilers
This anime series follows Masamune Izumi a fifteen year old high school student who lives with his twelve year old sister Sagiri although he rarely sees her as she refuses to leave her room if anybody else is in the house. Masamune also writes erotic light novels that he has illustrated by the eponymous 'Eromanga Sensei' who he has never met in person. One day he learns the shocking truth; Sagiri is Eromanga Sensei! A rather surprising revelation for him given the nature of her illustrations. Once the truth is out the two become closer and Sagari starts to come out of her shell somewhat. When successful light novel author 'Elf Yamada' moves next do things get even more interesting; she has feelings for Masamune. Later he gets even more girls in his life; most notably the top selling Muramasa Senju.

Given the subject matter, a young girl illustrating erotic manga for her older brother, this could easily have been a much sleazy series. Instead it is comical and even rather cute at times. Despite the stories Masamune writes and Sagari's drawings it isn't suggested that there are any inappropriate feelings between them. Also, from what we see Sagari's drawings are of underdressed rather than naked characters… at least for the most part. The big gag in the final episode is when she attempts to draw something more explicit and it becomes clear she doesn't know much about male anatomy… don't worry we don't see what she has drawn! The characters are fun and provide plenty of laughs over the course of the series. The characters designs are pretty good even if they could have appeared in any moe series they are distinctive. Overall this is a rather fun series although some may be put off by the subject material.

These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.

Good but not so much

This show has a great potential. This show was slow in story telling. The writers only gave attention to Sagiri, Masamune and Yamada. So these 3 characters are the one I am giving this series a 7 for. Although those 3 characters are shown the most. Thus this show is not bad nor good. I liked the story

Same old 'passive-incest' stuff

Okay, fine. I have seen enough of the genre where a brother and a sister lives alone in a house. But here they make the excuse that they are not related by blood. This statement is really important so that any kind of development in the romance side is not frowned upon.

Eromanga Sensei started decent at the beginning describing the life of a Light Novel author, and the competition behind the profession. The author is just a basic teenage kid writing some crazy long light novels of around a hundred overnight. From an anime perspective, anything is possible but is it really in the real world?

The story developed until around the 8th episode, after which there seemed no point in continuing the show. Can't say how it went in the light novel, but the anime seemed like a filler from that point and sucked bad. There were too many coincidences for the young light novelist, which favours his way to his victory. The plot failed to show how the written quality of the protagonist was in his novels, but instead viewed a lot of erotic and ecchi artwork to pump things up. FANSERVICE once again.

It felt as if the show was running away from the quality aspects which could've made the show good. The show took a shortcut and the common solution of pointless Fanservice. In the end, the show turned out to be a disappointment.

Seriously garbage

It was super interesting, then the story became so flat and boring. I seriously could not even get myself to finish the last episode. The characters lives aren't rooted in reality, and are completely unrelatable. Very difficult to connect with the characters later on in the season. The plot is so vague, unrealistic and bland. Also, looking at the lolies in the show isn't even worth it, the beginning was too creepy, and the end was so bland. All of the tense sexual scenes dilluted my feelings and I regret watching this.

Why is this so good?

This anime is definitely shameless, a whole new level of trash. However, its kinda endearing and the characters are quite fun! Highly recommend but watch it with an open mind. (I never really said I like this anime, did I? BAKA!)

Not bad, but...

At first, i thought it's gonna be a 'pretty' normal show. I think it's more than that (in a good and bad ways on my opinion)

I think the story is casual, like other anime shows. But, i'm also gonna say the show still has it's own uniqueness and it's not bad..

There are also few things that i find them boring and probably annoying for a few times, but it's ok, it's still fun to watch.

Enjoyable

Warning: Spoilers
This anime is calm and relaxing SPOILER ALERT it's about a brother who is a manga writer with his sister being the artist for his manga without him knowing that it's his sister who is his manga artist(till later in the season) but it has many good values along with people who try and eliminate the duo's goal but the duo just up their game to compete so it's a nice relaxing anime definitely give it a watch.
