For the first time since the show became exclusive to Peacock, The Office has made the weekly streaming rankings.
The long-running comedy series racked up 602 million minutes of viewing time for the week of Jan. 22-28, good enough for ninth place among library series. It’s the first appearance for The Office — which was a regular entrant in the early days of the Nielsen rankings — since it left Netflix for Peacock at the beginning of 2021.
At the top of the rankings for the week is Griselda, Netflix’s drama about the infamous drug queenpin starring Sofia Vergara. The series had 1.59 billion minutes of watch time over its first four days of release (it premiered Jan. 25). Reacher (741 million minutes) hung on in second place among original series a week after its second season finale on Prime Video, beating out Netflix’s docuseries American Nightmare (676 million).

As Alec Baldwin’s legal challenges continue with Friday’s indictment stemming from the 2021 Rust shooting, he has made moves to shore up his finances, which includes the star starting to appear at fan conventions and having relisted his longtime Hamptons home for $10 million under the asking price from roughly a year ago.
In a video posted this week by real estate brokerage firm Saunders & Associates, Baldwin talks to the camera about his fond memories with the 10,000-square-foot, seven-bedroom home located in Amagansett on Long Island’s South Shore. The 30 Rock alum’s abode is now on the market for $19 million after he previously listed it for $29 million. The original listing was in September 2022, less than a year after a firearm handled by Baldwin on the New Mexico set of indie Western Rust was discharged on Oct. 21, 2021, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza.

Netflix’s Outer Banks was far and away the most streamed title in Nielsen’s rankings for the week its third season premiered — but viewers’ time wasn’t taken up entirely by the new batch of episodes.
The Last of Us also had another strong showing on HBO Max in the week of Feb. 20-26, leading the acquired series top 10 by a sizable margin. Viewing of its seventh episode accounting for more than a fifth of its total, despite only being available for a few hours of that week.
Outer Banks pulled in 3.15 billion minutes of viewing time for the week of Feb. 20-26, the biggest single-week total of 2023 to date for any title in the Nielsen rankings. Nielsen notes that viewing of the first and second seasons made up almost a third of that total (the rankings include all episodes of a series), an unusually high amount for back episodes of an original show.

Last week’s Abbott Elementary made a joke at the expense of its own creator/star — and the good-natured fallout was fairly swift.
In Wednesday’s episode of ABC’s Emmy-winning comedy, shade-throwing champ Principal Coleman (Janelle James) likened Janine’s (Quinta Brunson) “round face” to “the Teletubbies’ Sun Baby.” And while Janine did not appreciate the dig, Brunson sure did.

Today's news cycle on /Film has been brought to you by the number 9. Apparently, that's the magic number for streaming services as both Netflix and Disney+ have released brand new previews for a couple of their most highly-anticipated shows that clock in at around 9 minutes each.
Ahead of the season 5 premiere of "Cobra Kai" on September 9, 2022, Netflix has unleashed the first nine minutes from the fan-favorite show for those who can hardly contain their karate-fueled excitement for one more day. Then, as part of the Disney+ Day celebrations before the weekend is dominated by D23, the Mouse House's streamer dropped a nine-minute special look at the upcoming "Andor" on their platform before the "Rogue One" prequel is released later this month. And we have the road map to point you in the right direction so you don't get lost on your way to the Valley or to a galaxy far far away.

When one thinks of classic movies from the '90s, "Forrest Gump" is likely right near the top of that list for many. Not only has the film managed to endure for three decades, but it was an Oscar-winning sensation that helped propel Tom Hanks to superstardom, winning Best Actor for his role as the lovable lead character. It also began a longstanding professional relationship between Hanks and director Robert Zemeckis.
But one of the most notable things about "Forrest Gump" is the fact that it made 678 million against a 55 million budget. That success led Paramount Pictures (as one would expect) to at least explore a possible sequel. But Hanks, speaking on the "Happy Sad Confused" podcast recently while promoting Disney's new live-action "Pinocchio," which Zemeckis also directed, explained that those sequel talks didn't last very long.

Lesley Stahl’s interview with President Donald Trump will air Sunday on “60 Minutes,” despite the White House’s decision to air unedited footage of it on Facebook, CBS News said Thursday,.
“The White House’s unprecedented decision to disregard their agreement with CBS News and release their footage will not deter 60 Minutes from providing its full, fair and contextual reporting which presidents have participated in for decades,” CBS News said in a statement, adding: “Few journalists have the presidential interview experience Lesley Stahl has delivered over her decades as one of the premier correspondents in America and we look forward to audiences seeing her third interview with President Trump and subsequent interview with Vice President Pence this weekend.” CBS News had said the White House had agreed to tape the interview but only use the tape for its archives.

The music hasn’t stopped playing for Jim Cummings. The 30-year-old writer-director-actor who won Sundance’s short film grand jury prize in 2016 seems to have found the holy grail for up-and-coming filmmakers: steady work. A former freelance line producer for College Humor in Los Angeles, Cummings recently transitioned into writing, directing and acting full time, and now has so many projects going simultaneousy that it’s hard to believe he was an unknown filmmaker just 18 months ago.
