One of the best animes this season - really underrated
rajeshas28 October 2017
The way the plot is built is really different from all the other animes' I've watched. The story is quite unpredictable if you do not know the number of episodes in the anime. (well no. of episodes does remove the excitement in many series as the finale will be in the last episode). So my suggestion is try watching this anime with the above lines in mind and I bet you will enjoy it.

A Beautiful tale

Re: Creators was a pretty amazing series, with well built characters and a nice and unpredictabe story. You'll love the main cast, as you eventually love the sympathetic villain and even the secondary characters; all those learn, grow and mature during this short tale of 22 episodes, leading to a truly emotional finale. The history close itself perfectly in the last episode, but you will leave craving for more from the world of Sato, Altair and Meteora, but also the animes and games where Selesia, Alicetaria and Yuya live (which would be wonderful if written as a quasi-sequel to Re:Creators).

Not worth the time, unless you ran out of everything good

Characters are pretty good, Animation is pretty good

Everything else is just written pretty poorly, I tried hard to like this anime, but nope its just pure headache. There is one character who tries to put some sense in the story line, but still more than half of it is just bizarre and obviously they do defy there own characters reasoning.

The most intense part of the story is an anime creator being blackmailed cuz he doesn't want to recognize his bad anime creation, what's next somebody is going to blackmail me cuz I hide the fact that I hate chocolates? Seriously? Also what's with all the overly exaggerated sighs, does everyone has to have anxiety, all the time, a city filled with dumb folks and anxiety patients is that it?

Amazing.

Animation - This story's visuals are spectacular throughout the show's runtime, making it very nice to look at. However, there are far too many shots where the character who is actually speaking is not onscreen, making it somewhat difficult to tell who is talking. Luckily, all of the voice actors are very good.

Plot - This story is about characters from fictional stories coming into the real world, and I'm not going to say anything more than that. I actually like to speculate about other universes and how they interact, and I find it very satisfying that the ideas found in this show mirror my own. Even if you don't like thinking about the possibility of your favorite characters meeting each other, I think that pretty much anyone can enjoy this unpredictable series.

Characters - All the characters in this show are extremely well written, and as I said before, well acted and animated.

Overall, I would highly recommend watching this series, and it is far beyond me as to why the IMDb rating for it is so low.

Boring!

I've dropped it

To summarize it: it is an anime with nice visuals, that is ruined by a very badly written story. It is possible to figure out the rough idea of what is going on in the first 5 minutes of the first episode, and slightly adjust information in the second.

Detailed breakdown below:

Story: 2/10 The story writing is exceptionally poor, and the main issue is that the story writer did not have a good idea about presenting new events. So, when the story needs to introduce you to some sort of idea, characters sit down in a circle and talk for 15 minutes. Sometimes they invent "theories" out of the blue, and everybody instantly believes those and treats them as granted. Everything between fights is incredibly dull, and characters - all of them - act almost in the same fashion. Once again, we have "spineless male protagonist in glasses", and even though this is not a harem, this kind of character is incredibly annoying. There's ONE surprisingly well done character of a magical girl, but she doesn't get enough screen time.

Also, dramatic and tragic scenes are handled in surprisingly poor and tasteless fashion.

In general - huge number of dull scenes, or scenes where somebody explains something for a very long time, plus interactions between characters are incredibly awkward.

Art: 6/10: The art is actually fairly good and characters have decent design. There some noticeable instances of CG use, and characters could use a bit more detail, but overall it is decent.

Sound: 5/10: Thoroughly mediocre soundtrack, that sometimes gets annoying. The anime features annoying "jester-type" villain and when that one was talking on several occasions I've felt disconnect between words and character. This doesn't happen often in anime, but happened in this case.

Characters: 3/10:

There's amazingly well done a character of a naive magical girl in the series, who looks genuine in every scene she arrives, and is incredibly sympathetic. However, everybody else is pretty much a carton cutout, and either act in completely stupid way, or follows some sort of cliched role. Interactions between characters are neither believable nor interesting most of the time. "Protagonist" is unlikeable, and is a classic "shy spineless otaku school boy in glasses" (I hoped this stereotype has died, but guess not).

Enjoyment: 3/10: This is a disappointment. The potential of the main idea was high, but poor execution and bad storywriting ultimately ruined it.

Overall: 3/10:

The best idea is to skip it. Aside from one well done character, there's little reason to watch it. If you're bored out of your mind, perhaps you you'll enjoy fights (plenty of those), but the dull character interactions and very long talking sequences are very likely to kill the fun.

Truly out of this world (up to episode 6)
shammyshamnine18 February 2018
I came into this anime like I do most others, after reading a few reviews it sounded quite fun, but little did I know it would be this much fun. It captured me from the first episodes with great action, then the action sort of calmes down a little which gives room for the story to develop. The musical score is great also. I haven't stopped watching this show since the first episode I'm now in episode 6 and it's just great, intense and captivating.

Great creative story!

Warning: Spoilers
I watched in on Amazon Prime in Japanese with subtitles. The animation style was beautiful, the characters were design well and each had at least some depth. The Prime version is unrated so I wasn't sure of the content: I would probably rate it TV-14. However be aware: There is graphic death/violence, both human and creation, in a several episodes. Can be brief, other scenes it is prolonged. There is nudity in 2 episodes: Episode 15-a character dances around topless with a towel around her neck. This is to tease the viewer. Episode 16-Hot spring/spa episode. The water is clear, not much left to the imagination. Feel free to skip the first half of the episode if you would rather not sexualize the characters, or just want to continue the story (I wish I had).

WOW!
jelencesb1 October 2022
When I started watching this anime I honestly say I only expected some good fun maybe , the most, interesting characters, thats all.

I wouldnt have dreamt of this anime dealing with such important and deep humanity related, life related, philosophical questions , nor I expected them being presented in an interesting way , yet in an open but indepth way.

SO yes I would recommend this anime highly and I would ask of people not to watch it shallowly (like I see some of the people who left reviews on this one, did). This anime is so worth the time spent on it!

I usually do not rate things with high marks no matter how much I love them or enjoy them, but this one did deserve this score.

Great idea!

I liked the art in this thread. I especially like to see the emotions of the characters in this anime. I did not notice any significant flaws in the drawing. In general, the drawing is done qualitatively and conscientiously. As for the plot... So it's really exciting... I would even say bewitching, and the idea and concept is actually very good. Look: here you have fantasy, isekai, mecha, fantasy, isekai, mecha, fantasy, action and partly even a crossover. And it's not all genres. The range of genres is quite large, as you can see. Yes, and the idea of isekai in our world is cool in itself and not the same type.

Beautiful quality of drawing with an adequate depiction of the feelings and emotions of the characters.

The idea is original and done qualitatively, evoking emotions and feelings of empathy for the characters in the viewer. The storyline, which is not made in the same way and in detail, is also pleasing. You can also note how the characters gradually reveal it is shown very sincerely, which in itself is beautiful, but I really love and appreciate it. This title can also be called an amateur for its palette of genres. What else to write... the openings (both the first and the second) are nicely and beautifully done, but there is nothing so outstanding in them, but I think many will evoke emotions because they are nevertheless made to last.

There is no main character as such, but there are many characters that attract attention, and the realization of the heroes of popular works in life is wonderful here!

I would love to watch a separate anime or read a manga, a light novel about characters, I liked them so much (Mamika Kirameki here it's clear who they took from) Madoka, if you know who other characters were taken from, you can write in the comments, I will be grateful) Bottom line: the title came out ambitious and the plot is not of the same type and quite original, which is incredibly pleasing. But unfortunately this title is little known and not particularly popular, although the makings for a good and high-quality title are certainly present here.
