This episode broke me. It was beautiful and heartbreaking. Raw and real. We flipped the core four's roles, explored Alice and FP further, finally saw Varchie come to a crossroads, and tested the limits of Bughead in Jug's new world.

From a pitch-perfect reference to "The Godfather" by FP, to a riveting performance of "Mad World," to a rollercoaster of emotions with outstanding character development, this was one of Riverdale's all-time best episodes.

The only other reviewer here to date, Carterlicious, I salute you, buddy, I'm not gonna try to even just add to that. Beautiful strong episode, unfortunately they're not all like this. Maybe the actors are hitting their stride. Noticed how Veronica (Camilla Mendes) was suffering during the song, it was particularly well played, and as that staunch critic of this show, and particularly having been opposed to her, I do feel like a louse. Yeah. I remain by my arguments. But Please just always remember that I am from the time of the Archie comics, that they played a large Large LARGE part during my formative years... enough about that now. Something else. Lili Reinhart, you were the one who lured me in despite my initial reluctance to enter. And this... ooh, impromptu strip show... wow, Lili. Full marks. That was evocative. Yeah, gratuitous, I cannot see how Betty would start undressing before this rough unruly crowd, sing, yes, strip, no. But Miss Reinhart, you have SO many many many qualities of the icon you portray. Wonderful choice of song. Still haunts me as I write here. Thank you to Carterlicious, I read your review very early on, before having seen the full episode, and your influence made it an experience.
