Christy : His mom not only makes me pancakes but she does my laundry. This is the first date I've ever been on where I come home and my clothes are cleaner than when I left.
Wendy : So how was the sex?
Christy : It was okay, but those pancakes, she put in a little vanilla... I felt loved.
Bonnie : I get it! I'm sorry I wasn't there for you.
Christy : Well that actually wasn't a dig at you... but thanks!
-
Bonnie : [Natasha wants to drink] Okay, let's think through the drink.
Natasha : What does that mean?
Bonnie : If you take that drink, we both know you're gonna have 10 more, right?
Natasha : At least.
Bonnie : And then you lose your sobriety, you lose your job, I'm definitely kicking you out of that apartment, and worst of all you lose Emily. So you try to get your life back on track but it's harder than you thought, and this time it takes you three years to get your act together and by that time Emily doesn't even care anymore. I didn't get Christy back until she was 34 and I regret it every day. It's just easier not to drink.
-
Natasha : [decorating the apartment with furniture from the basement] Are you sure nobody will miss this?
Bonnie : Positive, the people this belong to all moved out, some of them feet first.
Natasha : Really?
Bonnie : [points around the room] Choked on a chicken bone. Pulmonary embolism. That guy moved to Fresno.
-
Jill Kendall : [about Natasha's apartment] Bonnie, where are we?
Bonnie : What're you talking about?
Jill Kendall : Well I was ready for your apartment but, this looks like a place where they take Turkish prisoners for questioning.
-
Jill Kendall : I just hope Emily's happy here.
Bonnie : She's a teenager, all she cares about is having a place to charge her phone.
Natasha : [exiting the bedroom] And that concludes the grand tour!
Emily : Is there a place I can charge my phone?
-
Natasha : Bonnie, I'm a failure at this mom thing.
Bonnie : [nonchalantly] So am I, what's the problem?
Natasha : I went out and bought a bunch of food and made a really nice dinner, and then Emily texts me and says she's staying the night at this girl Ashley's house.
Bonnie : That's what kids do. My daughter's actually out on a play date with her little classmate Cooper.
Natasha : It's our second night and she didn't want to come home! This is so much harder than I thought. I want to drink.
