Holy crap. Perfect movie. Both metaphorical and literal at the same time. Coppola meets Hitchcock.

I find it almost impossible to wrap my head around the fact that it's this director's first feature. It reads like it was directed by a season professional who's learned from a lot of past mistakes.

This is nearly flawless. The acting and pacing are perfect.

An edge-of-your-seat thriller that thinks very deeply.

Watch it if you get a chance.

Eric and Martin, friends since childhood, visit the lake in the woods near their hometown every Sunday. They both fall in love with the same girl but it's Eric who starts a stormy relationship with Frenny.

Years later everything has changed. Now, Martin and Frenny are living together. Suddenly, Eric calls his childhood friend and wants to go with him fishing at the lake. First, they only talk about the past and what has destroyed their friendship but then things get heated...

The feature film debut of Max Gleschinski is very well written and stands out with great performances by the lead actors Bernhard Conrad and Florian Bartholomäi.

Friends? Enemies? Lovers? Where does it start and how does it end?

I was at the Snowdance film fest in Germany when I had the chance to watch this movie. The filmmaking is top notch, acting spot on, and the twist make this a well done flick. At points you are on the edge of your seat.
