The Monetary Insufficiency

Warning: Spoilers
Maybe I am out of touch, but even 20 million for a research project seems like a huge ask and yet to Sheldon and the campus official it was nothing.

Based on the episode description I was hoping for more of Sheldon at the casino but the brief bit we got was brilliant.

The guys storyline was good, but the gals and the wedding dress not so much.

Just a Tad Too Much

First of all, the whole wedding dress thing was dull...as is most of the Sheldon-Amy wedding stuff. The key part of the episode is Sheldon needing a half a billion dollars to create a mini-black hole to prove a theory. His absurd efforts are fruitless.

The nerds come together. Warning: Spoilers
What a perfect episode. Sheldon is advancing on string theory and wants to prove what he is working on. And Amy goes dress shopping.

President Siebert returns and is actually intrigued by Sheldon's research proposal until he gets the half billion dollar price tag. Sheldon gets depress, but tries to raise money on line and by selling his valuable collectibles. Even Amy feels sorry for him taking science over his comic books. Then as is often the case with Sheldon he kill the goose that lays the golden egg by letting the casino know his plans. He'll never be let into Vegas again!

On the girls story, Amy first has some dazzling dresses and is ecstatic to finally feel beautiful. Her over ruffle enhanced dress (did they dress like that on Little House on the Prairie?) causes Penny and Bernie to hold their tongues. Penny tries to be honest hurting Amy's feeling, but they regroup showing their deep friendship as Penny is declared a good maid of honor by Amy.

Finally, Sheldon returns finding Amy considering what to do with her dress. Sheldon loves it, calls her beautiful and can't wait to marry her. Despite their quirks, the two of them are made for each other.

And all around perfect script tackling nerdiness, friendship and that which makes TBBT still watchable after eleven years!!!

Keep on banging!!
