I saw this documentary as part of the DisOrient Asian-American Film Festival in April 2018. It far exceeded my expectations of a festival-entry film. The story is compelling, and Anastasia Lin, the central real-life character, is not only beautiful (she is, after all, a beauty queen), but is also remarkably articulate about what matters to her--the shortcomings of communism and unethical medical practices in China. People at different stages of life, from high-schoolers to senior citizens, can enjoy and learn from it.
