If you can only watch 1 episode, make it this one. It stands well on its own, and illustrates how a Unabomber is forged by experiences. How dastardly that his psyche was broken down at age 16 by an infamous government experiment!

I'm tempted to show this episode to others without context. What would they think of the protagonist if they did not know his name?

Sticks to the point it'll make you question your life for at least a week. The series could've ended there and it'd be magnificent, there's so much in here about a single character it's both impressive and astonishing. Watch this, please.

Truly gripped by this episode. I did not move from start to finish, just absorbed. Everyone has a story... good or bad.

Authoritative Production of a Pscyho-Drama

A tremendously-persuasive use of the production capabilities of limited-series television. "Ted" immerses us in the psycho-drama of an overly-intelligent teen-aged outsider who is spotted, groomed, and doomed by the military-industrial complex on Harvard's campus during the Cold-War era. The combination of letter-written voice-over with live-action representation combines the meditative depth of literature with the visceral thrill of great cinema. A compelling deep dive into the horrific world of the character who is the target of the "Manhunt" of the whole season.

This Ted-centric episode felt like more of an extended backstory from a Criminal Minds program. It was good, but we would have been better served splitting between these flashbacks and some stuff with the FBI in the present.

I am not exactly a polyhistor on the subject of the Unabomber, but it feels like they took some creative liberties to make him almost a sympathetic figure tonight. That was a mistake.
