Extremely Happy and (Fu)GAY film !!
sanjubhat20 February 2017
Story : Fugay is a story of two close chaddi buddies Aditya and Hrishikesh played by Swapnil Joshi and Subodh Bhave respectively. The two friends have been very close since childhood and when Swapnil Joshi is all set to get engaged, the realization of their lives changing forever dawns on them. Subodh Bhave plans a bachelor trip for Swapnil Joshi to Goa and hopes to have a blast one last time before Swapnil's D Day . Things become complicated when they get drunk and their photos appear in a newspaper being a part of a gay pride parade . The two buddies have no recollection whatsoever of the previous night, a la Hangover which threatens to turn their lives upside down . They are suspected of being gay by both Swapnil's girlfriend as well as his family .His girlfriend dumps him and his marriage is in jeopardy. As if this wasn't enough , they have to contend with a goon from Goa called Bhairappa ( Nishikant Kamat , in a cameo) who is after them . What actually happened that night ? Who is Bhairappa ? How did they manage to get into this mess in the first place is what the rest of the movie is all about . Be rest assured that this is a light hearted movie which has a happy ending .

Cast : This is Swapnil Joshi and Subodh Bhave's first movie together and they have both given stellar performances as expected from them . The film is all about them and they play their parts to perfection . The awesome chemistry between them is what keeps the film alive in the true sense. It is also nice to see Subodh Bhave in a comic role. Rest of the cast- Prarthana Behare as Swapnil's heroine , Mohan Joshi as Subodh Bhave's father ,Anand Ingale and Suhas Joshi also do a decent job to dish out a good dose of humour to the audience .

My verdict : Fugay is a light hearted comedy and if you are okay with the typical stereotypes that we associate the gay community with , like the exaggerated feminine gestures, among others, you will definitely enjoy it . Doka bajula theun bagha , khoop hasa ani enjoy kara !!! Even with its inherent gay theme , it is a perfectly U movie .
