Sex & Nudity

  • Some episodes contain scenes with characters in bed with each other.
  • Throughout the show some sensitive topics regarding sex are discussed, such as sexual abuse/assult and pornography.
  • Some sexual content that is infrequent. Established couples have sex off-screen but can be shown making out in underwear. Couples also have frank discussions about their sex. An ep briefly deals with phone sex (this is never shown and it's only talked about, but does mention masturbation).
  • A female doctor shows her breasts to a young boy. We do not see anything. She does this so the boy has a chance to see a woman's breasts before being blinded. He leaves the room with an excited look on his face and a raised heart rate.
  • Female doctor is heard having sex until it is interrupted by a phone call. She is shown on top, gets off the bed and is putting on her pants with her shirt unbuttoned.

Violence & Gore

  • Each episode involves some sort of surgical room procedure, typically involving images of operating on a person, exposed organs, etc. However, a lot of the surgeries and medical operations are offscreen.
  • When you see the operation in progress, it can be shocking for some people. It isn't too gross though.
  • Lots of close up of surgeries. Close ups op cutting people open, open bone fractures, blood squirting etc.
  • (This paragraphs long but worth reading) I haven't seen all the show yet, but season 1 has had some quite graphic moments such as seeing a spleen out of somebody's body, a lot of abcesses, a burn victim, a big chunk of skin out of someone's leg (quite hard to notice), a bullet hole, a swolen neck (extremely swolen) exploded abcess, and a decent amount more

Profanity

  • Most episodes contain little if any swearing. Swear words used are confined to words such as d*mn, a**, Oh my G*d, etc.
  • One use of "Holy mother of God"

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • In season 1, lea and shaun go and get wasted and are hungover the next day

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The surgeries and related suspense could be considered intense.
  • Lot of sad moments.
  • Extremely upsetting moments and decent amount of graphic violence, 13+ for sure
  • The main character has autism and is socially challenged, and is unfortunately being treated like an outcast by his coworkers
  • Moderate actually.
