It first glance this might be mistaken for a children's series as it features a ten year old princess named Astarotte and a magical tree... this would be a mistake though; Astarotte is in fact a young succubus and she must suck a man's 'life seed' to stay alive. The person she chooses to provide it is Naoya a twenty two year old man she has brought to the demon realm via the magical Yggdrasill tree; she also brings his ten year old daughter Asuha... yes he fathered a child when he was twelve! To make matters worse Asuha's mother is in fact Astarotte's mother; the queen of the Succubii. Since this is available to watch legally on Crunchyroll viewers will not be surprised... and a little relieved that nothing ever happens between Astarotte and Naoya; that doesn't mean there is no fan service though; most of the older female characters are rather buxom and wear clothes that show off a lot of cleavage. The story is fairly light hearted with most episodes having a comic tone based on Astarotte's dislike for males.
This series isn't as shocking as it first appears and there isn't anything too offensive to be seen; in fact there are plenty of innocent laughs to be had. The characters are fun as is the fairly light hearted story line.
