William Shatner is most known by people as the man who led Star Trek in its early years. From 1966 to 1994, Shatner played James T. Kirk and did so brilliantly. A tentpole character of the franchise that had fans flocking to it for decades. Now, in the twilight of his life, it looks like he's finally stepping back from leading man roles. At least on television.
Despite being 93, Shatner is still going. He's voicing the character Keldor for Masters of the Universe: Revolution and recently starred in the 2021 film Senior Moment. He's not just still acting but he's serving as a host for a variety of programming as well. Like with his newest series, The UnXplained: Mysteries of the Universe.
Yet, if you were to dig deep and be fair, Shatner has only starred in a handful of shows. Eight by our count. He may have been in more but these...

Well, The Rookie sure knows how to cram in the maximum amount of stress and pain in 45 minutes or less!
To say The Rookie Season 6 Episode 8 was an adrenaline-inducing, nail-biter, filled to the brim with revelations, badassery, and soul-crushing moments would be an understatement.
While we already knew Monica, the second most interesting redhead to grace this series, was shady as willow tree in July, learning that she's working alongside Blair was a shock.
But that's not to say most of us weren't suspicious of Blair initially.
The Rookie tips its hat as a procedural because it can be formulaic despite all the unpredictable and intense moments.
One thing consistent about this series is that when they introduce a new recurring side character, nine times out of 10, that person is a Baddie or at least adjacent to some nefarious things.
Blair has been high on everyone's suspect list since she...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and Ben Rappaport (For the People) are set as leads in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC’s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — three of them played by Fumero, Robb and Rappaport — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.
Fumero plays Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker, self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain beneath her facade, Birdie is a successful author whose memoir, “Digging for Gold: Dancing Through Divorce,” is a bestseller.

A new episode of Chicago Fire introduced a new character.
Following the exit of Sylvie Brett (played by Kara Killmer), the show introduced a fresh face at Firehouse 51.
It was a bumpy ride for the new paramedic in charge while it was her first time being the boss.
Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) was promoted to a bigger role at the house but was also concerned that the new paramedic chief had it in for her.
Violet was faced with the new paramedic just showing up at the firehouse before even being contacted by their boss.
Before she could explain how she wanted things done or even give him a tour of the house, the alarms went off.
Chicago Fire’s new paramedic is played by Wesam Keesh
Wesam Keesh was seen as Adam “Malachi” Mintock on Law & Order: Organized Crime, Jay Simmons on For The People, and Kyle Cohen on Awkward.

Giancarlo Esposito is taking over the male lead in Netflix’s Shondaland drama The Residence following the passing of Andre Braugher.
Braugher, who died Dec. 11 following a battle with lung cancer, was tapped last February to be the male lead on Netflix’s Shonda Rhimes drama The Residence, starring opposite Uzo Aduba. The White House murder-mystery started production before shutting down amid Hollywood’s dual strikes. Braugher had already completed filming a lot of his scenes on the series, which was scheduled to resume filming last month January. Esposito’s casting means the scenes Braugher had filmed will be reshot on the drama from showrunner Paul William Davies (Scandal), which has continued production amid the recasting.
Here’s the official logline for The Residence, per Netflix: “132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs...

We have seen a lot of legal dramas like Suits, All Rise, and even the short-lived For the People. While they are quite entertaining in their own right, they can be quite similar.
That's why The Lincoln Lawyer was a breath of fresh air when it premiered in 2022.
The series follows Mickey Haller, a brilliant LA lawyer who runs his practice in the back of his car because if he needs to move around the city a lot for his client, he'd rather take the time to go over cases instead of driving.
After launching, the series was a hit among the audience thanks to the popularity of the books it's based on, and the show was well done with a great storyline and characters.
It cracked the coveted Top 10 on Netflix for weeks after the premiere, amassing 260 million cumulative minutes, and remained Top 10 in 90 countries.

The case will be closing on Your Honor, it has been revealed.
Series star Bryan Cranston confirmed the news that the hit Showtime drama will conclude with its forthcoming second season.

Robertson joins Nash-Betts; Frankie Faison, who plays Christopher “Cutty” Clark; and Felix Solis, who guest-starred as Special Agent Matthew Garza in the two Rookie episodes, which served as backdoor pilots for The Rookie: Feds. All three are continuing on the new series as series regulars.
On the new series, Robertson will play Laura Stensen. She is the “black sheep” of a family of brilliant academics and the youngest person ever allowed into the FBI’s behavioral analysis unit. But after discovering that her boyfriend had been cheating on her with her best friend, Laura fell into a slump – how could a criminal profiler miss that the people closest to her were liars? Given a lifeline in Garza’s new unit, Laura’s ready to throw her socially awkward, workaholic, book-smart self-back into the job, hoping to get her mojo back.

Exclusive: Zahir McGhee has signed with CAA for representation. Additionally, the Queens creator/executive producer has extended his existing overall deal with ABC Signature for an additional two years.
“Zahir is an undeniable creative force who attracts spectacular talent and really wants to win,” ABC Signature President Jonnie Davis said. “We’re excited to continue our collaboration and remain incredibly invested in his success.”
McGhee is a homegrown ABC Studios/ABC Signature talent who has been in an overall deal at the studio for the past four years. Self-professed hip-hop head and Allen Iverson fanatic, McGhee moved from the Philadelphia area to Los Angeles in 2007 to attend the University of Southern California where he received an M.F.A. in Writing for Screen & Television. After graduation, McGhee earned a position as one of the eight ABC/Disney TV fellows — which helped him land his first staff job on Shonda Rhimes’ Private Practice.

Shondaland’s Betsy Beers, co-chair of the 2022 Produced By conference, wants to help get her industry brethren out of their Zoom isolation.
“I’m hoping this conference will inspire us all to start thinking like a community again,” she says of the June 11 event that will host a range of expert panels. The creative producer will use her background bringing shows like Bridgerton to the screen — Shondaland is currently producing the prequel — to help attendees navigate the ever-changing (and Covid-complicated) entertainment landscape. Beers spoke to THR about this year’s lineup and how it will help revitalize the industry.
How would you describe the mission of the Produced By conference, especially as the industry continues to experience rapid change and constriction?
I was thrilled that the Guild asked me to co-chair the conference. So much has changed over the past two years, and...
