Response to previous review.

I strongly disagree with the previous reviewer. I find the show very entertaining. I hope the show remains on the air for several years to come. No, it's not like a real life family, but it's not meant to be. If the previous reviewer doesn't like the writers, then I would like him/her to step up and write a show to start and finish in a 45 minute time span. I doubt they could do it with only two characters, much less twelve plus characters. This is a GREAT SHOW!

Warning: Spoilers
I wouldn't go as far as the first reviewer, but I can't say that this is a good episode of the show, with only the Mitch/Cam storyline really working for me here.

This one was genuinely funny, with a lovely apperance from Oliver Platt, who I remember fondly playing another gay character in the much maligned but great Matthew Perry film 'Three To Tango'.

The other stories I didn't enjoy as much, or in the case of the Phil/Jay one, at all.

BUT, 'Modern Family' tells three stories minimum an episode, they can't all be winners.

I said it before and I need to say it again. Just cancel they show already.

I mean it just gets more and more clear that the writers of this show doesn't know what they are doing or are even capable of writing a funny and enjoyable episode of Modern Family anymore.

First off. The number 1 fault since well many seasons ago is the notion of telling bad cliché stories after another. Like this episode we have the classic the characters are doing a play of themselves and they get upset because the characters reminds them of themselves. And then cliché number 2, The guys have a bachelor party but one of the guys does a really bad job and everybody hates it and leaves to a more fun party and one guy gets sad and fights one of the guys.

I mean I can't find anything funny about this episode and I am so tired of the cliché and bad story choices they make in this show. The first seasons were really good but now it has 100% lost it's touch. Sure it's fun watching Ariel Winter and she can be quite funny if the writers just give her some more screen time.

But the main error is that they seem to focus on the wrong characters. And the writers aren't capable do write jokes and story lines that is relative anymore, if you don't count for what was funny for over 20- 30 years ago. I think it's either time to cancel the show or fire all the writers and try to save this show before it hits a brick wall which it almost already has. I mean the thing about that clown thing. What was funny about that? And the bowling? Who cares about that? I say it again they are focusing way too much on the wrong and unfunny characters in this show. Change it up for once. Yeah we get it they are gay and they can be funny but when playing the same gag over and over. Well newsflash it will get stale.
