Completely lost steam
dierregi28 October 2018
Since the titular affair is well over, this show has completely lost its purpose and direction. In this episode both Noah and Helen are depressing and annoying. I can hardly relate to these people anymore, they are so narcissistically miserable.

Helen is still the most annoying character of the show. She is whining, neurotic, self-absorbed, nagging and generally unpleasant. I don't see any redeeming features in somebody who accepted Noah to take the blame for her actions, just to feel even more resentful against him. Helen is a rich, spoiled housewife with no other purpose but feeling sorry for herself.

The whole bit about their son being gay was grotesque - they don't even sound like human beings anymore, but politically correct empty shells.

Tense. In a monotonous way.

Warning: Spoilers
If you like an entire episode of tension, complaining back and forth, you'll love this episode. Ok, we get it. Helen has issues with Noah. Hasn't that been the case for 3 other entire seasons already?

Helen is so uptight ALL THE TIME that it just makes for uncomfortable viewing. If you miss this episode, you'll have missed absolutely NOTHING from this series. Except maybe the last tenth of a second. But they'll show you that at the beginning of episode 2.
