This was a bit of a mixed bag episode for me.
However, two of the three plots worked, so I suppose that's good enough, but it's not one of the better 'Speechless' outings from its first series.
The Maya and J. J relationship is a very special one, and that's handled well here, in the episodes strongest storyline.
It was good to see Ray and Jimmy bonding a little bit more too, and it's a good bit of casting seeing as Mason Cook looks a bit like John Ross Bowie.
The Dylan and Kenneth story is the one that doesn't work for me, and these two characters could do with a bit more fleshing out in the second year, as they can be weaker, especially together.
All in all, a decent episode.
