Dika's Attempt to Breakout from his Rom-Com Routine
reinhart_lightmourn29 April 2021
Dika's run with repetitive rom-com routine has become quite cringey and boring at the time. Even in this movie, where he played ficitonal version of himself, makes fun of his uninspiring dumb look he used to do in each of his rom-com movies. His attempt to break out from his regular role has proven to be quite entertaining and fun. Supported by some of the heavy weight actors and actresses, this suspenseful horror comedy might be break he is looking for.

Too simple to bring up a story conflict
HafizhMaulana2117 June 2023
Nine celebrities were invited to come to a deserted island. However, the meeting immediately turned unpleasant with death coming one by one to them.

Hangout, a comedy story that comes from a Raditya Dika. After coming up with several films with the concept of a single young man and looking for a partner, Hangout came up with a comedy story that was different from before. A good step for Raditya Dika in developing his comedy story. Hangouts bring comedy and humor that are light to deliver and easy to enjoy. Pretty good and interesting story. But it does become quite often that films like this have a simple story premise with a clichéd ending plot. Too ordinary and flat that doesn't have a satisfactory finish.

Too Simple of a Movie
asepyudhistira10 August 2018
This movie is very entertaining, especially the part with Soleh Solihun. He's a talented comedian, and I appreciate him for that. But the laughs are too shallow and low in quality; just like this movie in general. I appreciated Prilly Latuconsina's acting as well, she's very good in this movie and she has the potential to be better. It's just the script doesn't even try to help with that. Other than Prilly, everybody's acting felt too over-the-top (Dinda Kanyadewi and Surya Saputra) or fell flat (Titi Kamal and Raditya Dika). But, of course, the problem lies within the script, which is too shallow to appreciate (what is the killer's motives? just that? I laughed at that). I understand this movie wants to be simple; but not this simple, of course. This is a movie for theaters, not for television. And they do not even try. It's like they just gave up or something. I hope Raditya Dika can make better movies in the future.

Bad movie of Raditya Dika ever !
saripurnama20 October 2018
He is not into this type of movie, Raditya much better in making Rom Com movie! This is not a recommend movie , due to my high expectation with all the trailers and promotions all around. But hello? R u kidding me with the killer motives, the scene, all the actors actress act feel dumb, the comedy itself didnt blend well. I dont get it why Radit make this kind of movie; while he good in his Rom com as usual. This movie really make me cringe from the first until end. During this movie release, i would much much more recommend with Cek Toko Sebelah. So yeah, Radit if you want to came out from your safe zone, please watch it by yourself once again, all your fans not only from this alay watcher who love this kind of thing, but there are more critical watcher on your fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best Comedy Movie in 2016
empatmk14 April 2017
Simple movie to be watched, very entertaining, and it can make your mouth dry because of too much laughed. One word, Outstanding! Even though there wasn't anything special regarding the story line, but the corny jokes as well as the actors and actresses characters in this movie were totally funny.
