It's great that we're right here at the islands in this episode, only the third in the series! This episode features Finn, Jake, BMO, and Susan being separated and it's obvious we're going to see them find each other for the next couple of episodes. While not as good as the other parts, this is still enjoyable. It's great that we get a lot more set up. I really do love Finn wanting to learn more about an island of humans and where his place really is in this bizarre world. He meets up with Jake, but that's mostly just what happens.
It has the same weird stuff that you're so used to seeing from "Adventure Time" so it's not really confusing. A lot of it does seem like filler, but we still get great designs and more intrigue on the mission of these episodes. This wasn't too memorable, but was still great. I really am loving the new intros they play with these eight part episodes. The more it goes on, the more elements we see from the series! We get a great set up for the next episode too. ***1/2
