Vivo first tries to board the bus to Miami from Key West a little bit after 10:00AM. The bus driver for the 10AM bus is the same one driving the second bus that departs Key West around 1PM. Key West to Miami and back is an 8.5 hour round trip as estimated by the bus schedule seen on screen when Gabi buys her bus ticket for the 1PM bus. This could not possibly be the same bus driver.
Despite being called a Kinkajou, Vivo's character model looks much more like some kind of primate. Kinkajous are more closely related to raccoons and other than being arboreal, have little in common with monkeys. They are also known for their complete lack of rhythm and inability to wear hats.
Vivo says he and Andrés can't go to Miami because they're small town guys. Havana has a population of over 2 million, hardly a small town. (Miami has a population of about a half million, making it a quarter the size of Havana, although the Miami metro area is about 6 million.) However Vivo could've been referring to Havana as a "small town" to symbolize how simple his life is with Andrés, where they just walk from their apartment to the plaza to play music.
When Gabi is confronted early on by the Sand Dollars about missing yesterday's cookie sale, Gabi stammers and eventually makes up an excuse about being busy rescuing Vivo. Gabi was in Cuba for Andres's funeral the prior day, so there was no need for her to invent this excuse.
Andrés pronounces "Cuba" the US way ("kyoo-ba") rather than the Cuban way ("koo-ba").
