An adorable and fun movie

Just saw Barry Watson in An Hour Behind, and with almost every movie I watch I go to IMDB to look up information on the actors, directors, composers, essentially any and all stuff about the movie. I really liked him in An Hour Behind and decided to give him a try in Date My Dad. To my surprise as good as he is, the movie is better. The cast, starting with his three daughters is superb. Gigi played by Audrey Smallman is what, 12 going on 22? I almost spoiled a very important detail, but I caught myself. I cannot wait to see how this plays out. It looks as though it made it through the first season...too bad. Give it a try.

If you are a fan of old 80's family sitcoms, Barry Watson, Raquel Welch or new TV shows you will get some enjoyment out of this. It does have some charm and appeal for nostalgia reasons, but the script is too weak and it is not sure if it wants to be a comedy or a drama. Dramedies were the big thing a few years back, they still exist today, but the writing and acting has to be really strong to write one that stands out.
