Innocents Abroad (1971)
* 1/2 (out of 4)
Here's another Alex de Renzy "documentary" that has him traveling to London, the Netherlands and various other foreign locations as we take a look at various forms of sexuality.
The majority of the running time takes place inside a dark room where live sex acts are performed. These scenes cross into the hardcore so obviously the entire "documentary" feel was just an excuse to be able to show live sex. The majority of the sex takes place on this stage and sometimes it's woman on woman, other times man on woman and sometimes there are dildo shows with the women. If you're a fan of the 70's pornos then you might find some mild entertainment out of this thing but I doubt it.
The director's SEXUAL ENCOUNTER GROUP was actually a lot more entertaining since it introduced us to some of the people that we would be watching. The majority of this film takes place in a dark room with some boring sex scenes. What footage we do get with actual people is rather boring and you're certainly never interested in anyone you're watching. Even worse is some bizarre footage of locals that have nothing to do with the plot.
Even worse is the fact that this thing really drags itself out to 94-minutes, which is about sixty-minutes too long.
