a Nice independent moving film

This was a beautiful film. No spoilers-I liked the characters and enjoyed the journey that the lead went on after she is forced to face her decisions and move on.

I died of boredom halfway through

The movie feels as it's been written by a 18 year old emo kid. everything is like, super meaningful, and like deep and stuff.

every detail is like super retro, and the girl has great hair.

Breath of Fresh Air

In this crazy, chaotic world this movie is a breath of fresh air. It takes the time to unfold the lives of the characters and their complex relationships in a moving, believable way. There is humor here as well as characters you can grow to love. I loved the ending and the fact that grief can move into hope. Rewarding and a pleasure to watch.

moving, life affirming film

Beautifully shot, this small indie film is a poignant, sweet, funny, deeply felt story. ultimately a celebration of life. well acted and directed. some viewers may feel it starts slowly but patience will be rewarded. a truly lovely film.

A movie for the family

I was one of the fortunate ones, as I got to see Shira Levin's first feature film on the big screen, the delightful "Starfish." This is one of those films where you can ease into your comfy couch with your significant other (glass of wine optional) and watch these relatable characters navigate through their ups and downs of life. If you enjoy films that deal with interpersonal personal relationships and how they change over time, than I believe you'll enjoy this film.

Lovely cinematography and a memorable performance from Pascal Yen-Pfister.
