Legends' Doomworld lives sucks for them but fun for me!

Warning: Spoilers
+ I should feel bad cackling at Felicity's @sswhooping/demise by Sara and Amaya. Should but NOPE, enjoyed it too much. Good job on doing this right, Guggenheim.

+ Can Sara and Amaya keep those outfits? They look so freaking bad@ss!

+ Rip and Gideon baking cakes/Mrs. Heyward's sandwiches.

+ I'm so conflicted: Eobard saved the polar bears and fixed global warming...

+ Ray and Axel are together! And Mick cared enough not to hurt him with Ray's brain gun.

+ Jax riding Stein: Bwah hah ha hah ha!

++ Legends' Doomworld hideout/Legion's Hall of Doom: perfect encapsulation of this wonderful season's tone.

+ Mick's loyalty to Snart was almost broken. So glad Mick didn't let it break when push came to shove, because he wouldn't be Mick if he truly turned against Snart.

+ Eobard's mustache-twirling level of villainy: letting the Legends live even after their failed attempt to steal the spear

+ Nate and Damien's almost high-five

+/- The monologuing from almost everyone

  • Amaya?! That was NOT what I wanted! They better fix this in the finale!!!

+++ Where, or should I say how, Eobard hid Rip and the Waverider: INGENIOUS! I have to give mucho props to the writers' coming up with such original hiding places. First the spear on the moon and now toyWaverider right in the middle of StarLabs.

Score: 9.1

Legion of doom at its finest
suriachalbert29 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
Well, finally what I have been waiting for this whole season.

This episode of legends is fun, exciting, dramatic at points, and just awesome to see what the "legion of doom" would do with infinite power.

When I heard they were going to do that, I was skeptic. Legends can sometimes go way past our expectations of fun (moonshot) or completely disappointing and making no sense. But this one was, in my opinion, one of the best episodes they have had.

Best thing about the episode: the villains. You can see that they have real power and they put it to use, and everybody reflects their true self.

-Eobard, a scientist, becomes a Savior of mankind and does legitimately good things for the planet, one of the things that make him so great as a character.

-Malcolm reunites with his daughter, so heartwarming.Really loved how the business mastermind was the one who wanted to make things sure and kill the legends.

-Darhk, the most evil of them all, just kills all the vigilantes. Maybe they could have used more of their magic in the end.

-But the one that really shone was Captain Cold. Good old captain cold, "cold" as always, always with a plan, and ruthless as ever. This episode showed us how Mick really has evolved with the team by seeing how he was before, and he sees it too by looking at his partner. The best moment comes when Leonard kills Maya, something that CW should learn to do, as it adds so much excitement to shows. Probably she's gonna come back, but I would love it if she stays that way. Her arc in season 2 has been good but its come to an end.

Overall it was a great episode and I absolutely loved the twist with the Waverider in the end, such a brilliant idea! Can't wait for the finale.

A Brave New World

Warning: Spoilers
Most of the complaints I usually have with Legends were washed away with one of the best episodes of the season. Perhaps unironically, the best episode happens to be the one that is the most different.

The formula Legends usually executes was nonexistent as the Legion of Doom took over this week. Even more so than the episode titled 'Legion of Doom', this was very much a showcase of the team of villains as a whole. Thawne put Stein and Jax to work on a reactor that would blow up the spear for good, Darhk was Star City Mayor, and Mick, Snart, and Meryln controlled the city. This gave the writers a chance to give us different versions of each respected Legends. Felicity Smoak was put in a mask and costume and seemed to take up crime fighting after the apparent deaths of all the beloved heroes from Star and Central City.

I think what made this episode feel so different wasn't so much the 'Doomworld' idea, but the fact that this week gave us every character and used them all effectively. It was a real ensemble piece. The only one that I feel had a questionable presence was Rip. How was it that everyone on the team seemed like they were in a different universe, except for Rip. He still ended up on the Waverider with access to Gideon? I know he's needed as a MacGuffin for after the spear is destroyed, but it felt a little too easy.

Then we get to the most shocking part of the episode, Amaya's death. I wasn't sure if the show was going to kill off anybody this year, and I definitely didn't see Amaya's demise coming. Of course, with time travel being a major component in the show, it's not a guarantee the death is going to stick. But I worry more that with the Legends inevitably traveling back in time next episode, that the whole season will be wiped away and none of the events actually happened at all. I've had some fun with this season in what has been a big improvement on last year, but it needs to cap off with a bang next week for me to think of it as a success.

+Mick's redemption

-Rip somehow unaffected

another legion episode
Abdulxoxo10 November 2020
Another Legion of doom-centric episode, in this episode we get to see the "reality" the Legion created, and it's quite fantastic but the Legends were puppets, with help from Mick they finally get back to their old self.

it's quite an exciting episode, Snart (my favorite) get to shine again, when he killed Amaya, I didn't see it coming but it makes a good drama, it end fight sequences was just entertaining, Damien got his magic back, Merlin fully functional now, you just know the legends don't stand a chance and them without they powers. The spear of destiny was destroyed, now the Legends must undo everything, it's going to get ugly.

Ho Hum
franktutor6 October 2021
Warning: Spoilers
More ho hum from the show.

More actors uttering statements like questions? It's a statement, but their voices go up at the end like a question? They do it over and over again?

For some reason, the Legion of Dumbers keep the Legends around so they can, you know, defeat the Legion.

Once again, the time captain, not the Doctor, gives up. What a hero.
