TV Martial Arts are the worst!

I like this show, even more so than the original, so I cut it a lot of slack. But in this case, when the bad guy mocks him, "A marker?" I concur. A marker would block a knife cut briefly, but all the baddie has to do is slice downward and he's opened Mac's abdomen. Mac would have been better off hanging onto the phone receiver. Even worse, he lets go of the marker with one hand to grab the spray! Quite the left arm you have there, Popeye! :-(

I wanted to like the show but it's getting worse and worse.

So much nonsense in this episode I stopped counting... The unimaginably bad building security, wrong timing of scenes, MacGyver hitting security helmets with bare hands, Riley being in shock she just shot the bad guy (why ??)... The last scene is just ridiculous. Maximum security prison?? What level of stupidity and incompetency!!
