Once he'd failed, can he be second time keep an eye on it.
Reno-Rangan4 July 2017
An intended emotional drama. You could see it from the very first scene itself. But the story had no innovation, just the characters and all the events surrounding them differently written. This is not a bad film, though not everybody would say they enjoyed it, so am I. I have seen many similar films with better appealing melodrama than this. I love tearjerker film, simply this was not my cup of tea. That is where I lost, despite prepared to have a great time watching it.

Apart from that, it was very slow and get even slower when tale progresses. Nearly two hours long and overall drags a bit with plain events. Luckily, there were a few course changing scenes that kept the film alive for me. Too matured storytelling with less background score and more sorrowful atmosphere. That means, it's a grownup's film with realistic narration, but build on a fictional concept and a fantasy theme. One thing you must understand that it is not a romance film.

The story of an insurance agent who recently widowed. He's assigned to review a patient who met with an accident, is now in coma. Like he's the chosen one, her spirit is visible only for his eyes. After the initial differences, they develop a certain bond as they meet every day. But after some time, the things complicate once the time comes to move on in the world. So what happens to them and other things are told in the remaining.

The actors were decent. I am only familiar with the actress and she was good. The actors looked okay. Almost 90 per cent of the story between their roles. Those extra characters really brightened the narration occasionally. Sometimes meaningful and inspiring. Like I said, this is a good film for families, but not for everybody. One of the major reasons was the conclusion. It was kind of expected, but also immoral act. Otherwise, I guess, I would have liked it better.

A story about grief and closure
jasminethum2 March 2020
Recently found out about and watched this movie. Overall great pacing, plot and acting. It was lovely seeing both main characters eventually coming to terms with their respective situations via their fated encounter with one other.

Definitely not for everyone, especially if you're after cutesy romance (nothing wrong with that btw). However, if you're after a movie which covers the topic of dealing with the frailty of life, I recommend giving this a watch.

Very heartbreaking film
meiliasafarina23 April 2020
I've watched it three times, it's very beautiful and heartbreaking film.. Completed with the heartwarming backsong.. This film teaches us that we must continue to live even though we have been overwhelmed by sadness. and tells us that every moment with someone we loves its a precious moments, because we don't know when they will leave us. the point is to value every moment that you go through with the people you care about.

A somewhat slow movie but well worth the patience. Not the usual formulistic movie but a thoughtful story about loss and sorrow.

One of the BEST Korean movies ever watched
AntiFakeReviews21 April 2022
This movie is such a sad, heavy-burdened movie to watch, yet at the same time, a fantastic one to hang onto you long after you've watched it. The two leading male and female actors both did unbelievably believable performances to portray the profound feelings and their journeys of their lives. The camera works, the soundtrack, the directing and the editing all were top-tier teamwork and did a great visualization of a great screenplay with profound dialogue. The pace was sometimes a bit too slow and only added more heaviness for us to suffer together with these two young people.

Another beautifully done Korean movie. Highly recommended.

Strategic ambiguity
newkrejados3 February 2024
Is it selfish to hang on to a loved one even when their every moment is pain? Or is it grace to surrender them and keep their memories alive?

Our lead gets a do-over after a profound loss but he must be coaxed to the proper response. Along the way, he learns why sometimes the greatest testament to love is letting go.

We never know if it's a stranger's spirit he's interacting with or if he's projecting his loved one's final days onto this stranger he comes in contact with. But we get a hint, towards the end, of the real answer.

The story is brutally real. Sometimes, people are discarded and they never know why. Sometimes, people push their loved ones away to spare them a greater pain. And sometimes, people do the unthinkable as an act of mercy.

Minus one star for the lack of backstory on the hair stylist mother. Otherwise, this one's well worth a watch.
