This is a highly emotional episode. Vic is dealing with the loss of her unborn child. Ferg is trying to help his girlfriend reign in her brain cancer suffering mother. The search for Malachi continues. That crazy family of the dead survivalist is out there. Walt continues to be vilified in the press, even when he is doing what is right. His trial is approaching. Henry gets blitzed again.

This episode deals with Vic's loss of her not yet born child. Ferg's girlfriend's mother is dealing with confusion resulting from chemotherapy. Chance Gilbert's family is at large. Henry and Jacob have a mishap on their way to the FBI. The way in which Vic's unborn child is handled is pure magic, very emotional and tragic. Several sequences are shown through the episode. We are not sure what's going on there until late in the episode. Once we realize what we're really seeing, the sadness hits home. The cinematography is gorgeous as well as the locations, making the sadness that much more real. This episode is a masterpiece. One of the 2 best episodes of this series. Vic's acting in this one should have won an award. Excellent.

Too much Vic Moretti

I would have minimized her role 4 seasons ago.

Longmire is watchable but the constant sexual undertones by Vic ruins it for me. S6 E4 is almost all Vic. There are so many other plot lines that could be magnified rather than this line regarding Vic.

She is a manipulator and emotional. The first three seasons were good, but this last one is far from the best imho.

Pathetic episode

Longmire is supposed to be a crime drama. It fails miserably as an evening soap opera. If I wanted to watch an episode that felt like a soap, there are far better offerings to choose from. If I wanted to watch a crime drama episode (and I did)... well, there were many better to choose from. This is what happens when you try to be something other than what you are. No matter how hard you try you fail at both.
