After Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) are done fighting Rick says "choke holds are illegal". Rick is joking about something Daryl said to Shane (Jon Bernthal) right after Rick and Daryl met for the first time in Tell It to the Frogs (2010). After telling Daryl that he had to leave his brother, Merle (Michael Rooker), hand cuffed to a roof Daryl attacks Rick with a knife. Rick knocks the knife out of Daryl's hand and Shane tackles Daryl and places him in a choke hold and Daryl protests "choke hold's illegal" and Shane replies "you can file a complaint."
The main titles do not roll until roughly 15 minutes into the episode.
In this episode Rick sees a flying helicopter for the second time in the series (first time he saw one was in the very first episode of the show).
When Negan loses his temper in the council meeting, slamming Lucille against the table upon Simon's suggestions of killing the population of Hilltop to gain a "copacetic" state, you can see for a moment that the head of the table at which Negan sits it heavily dented and battered. This is quite obvious, whereas the rest of the table is smooth and shows no signs of damage. What this indicates is that Negan is not always the charismatic and charming leader that he represents to the Saviors, always keeping a calm and collected demeanor. It is quite likely that Negan often loses his cool when in front of his council.
