So much of 'Fashion Police' is aimed at recalling the movie series. Not just an (effective) torture scene, but also the addition of a Rene Russo-like DEA agent (Hilarie Burton). But Karen Palmer makes for a promising recurring character, and the tease of her being a love interest for Riggs sheds light on what he really needs to get past his wife: connections to other people. It's handled thoughtfully and elevates the hour above just the car chases.
