This movie is caught my attention because it different from most of the Thai movies (most of the time would be comedy). It's pure Romantic with a little comedy into the movie. The story run quite smooth and all characters development are great. I like the way that this movie make it feel realistic and feel like audience (like me) can understand reasons of why it happen. Moreover, the location in Hokkaido, Japan is really beautiful with great angle of each scene. The reason I only give this movie 9 is because some scene I think it quite similar to some Japanese series that I watched before. But overall I think this is one of the best Thai movie I've ever watch in my life and I would definitely recommend others to watch it at least once. :)

From the director who is famous for great horror flicks, but I liked his only romance-drama 'Hello Stranger' that starred by the same actor as in this one. This is a similar type, I mean a travel based romance-drama, but a fraction amount of fantasy and/or sci-fi influenced. Due to the way the tale was narrated, it makes no sense to label it with them. It also looks kind of the 90s style romance films from the west. So a bit old theme, however, surprisingly it worked out for me.
The concept was as same as 'A Few Portion Missing in the Centre', but it is entirely a romance-drama. When I started to watch, I thought it was going to be an average, the scenes could be predictable, but most of the film was like that, until the twist came at the midway. It was not about the twist, because that kind of twist was used in the films since the inception of the cinema. Not about what followed after that, thought those parts were decent. But the ending, that was different which saved the film I say.
If the climax was compromised, the film would have lost its charm. If I were only young like a teenager or in the early 20s, it would have been my favourite film. You know, 'been there, done that' kind mindset makes not to fall for the familiar appealness/sentiments. So I'm not the target audience, but those who are, would surely celebrate it. Particularly the girls. Yet still be a watchable film by everyone, despite how much you are going to like it.

The story of a 30 year old geek, Denchai, who works in an IT firm as a tech supporter. He's a perfectionist, but all he wanted was people around him recognise his presence, but nobody does. He develops a crush on a new co-worker, but he keeps it himself by stalking since she's seeing somebody else in the office. Then one day when the company takes its employees to oversea tour, his wish comes true to be her boyfriend for just one day. So the entire day was narrated for us how they made it, and following day what happens, all were revealed.
The initiation was a bit longer than I anticipated. It was necessary to make a perfect riddle for what comes in the later. But when they go foreign trip, everything changes, a different kind of film in front of us. Like any normal romantic-drama, the best parts can be expected. Those who have watched hundreds of romantic films, would feel a bit cliché, but worth it. Then moving towards the final stage, you might think you know what would happen, though the film reaches its highest point with a better conclusion rather going for ideal one.
The two lead actors won the Thai Academy Awards for their performances. I think they deserved it, at least for the Thai film standards. One more awesome film by the director. I think he should do more romance films, besides his favourite, horrors. Nicely used the Japanese locations to narrate the tale. The dialogues were okay, but the emotions should have been a little more stronger. Especially for this kind of ending. But anyway, I liked it mainly because of that part. One of the best Thai romance films in the recent time. So if you are looking for a pure, touching romance film, this is the one to pick.

Totally recommend this romance movie for you. The start really run well and after that the characters build in, going into climax. Really love this even though i'm still cant get enough for the ending. Love doesn't need a reason *this sentence*, make me crazy, make me miss my dearest one. the ending though, make me a little bit sad, why she doesn't about the man, is producer make *to be continued*, that's what in my mind!!!Hope the producer can make the continuous (2nd movie) of this drama^^ . Hope to all of you watch this movie..

This movie delivers surprising scenes and wonderful cinematography. the strongest point of this movie is the story line and the directing, how it tells us the story with an unexpected ending. i do love the end of the movie.

The first time I tried to watch this movie, I quit at around 10 kinutes, thinking it would be another teenager love story, since the female actor was too cute. But later today I watched it again and have to say it is quite good.
No spoiler here, but I can only say the movie is quite uncommon due to the ending. And unlike other previous posters, I will say this is a happy ending movie. Cannot tell too much without telling spoilers, but just look at her last sentence, you will see that this is a happy ending movie.

This movie really got me emotional. It's a good movie to watch. I would have given it a full star rating if it wasn't.... you'll know when you watch. The story is about an IT guy who loves a girl from his workplace. I'm not saying much but we can may be relate this person to ourselves in some way. So watch it ...I can only hope ... what we make of its end .

Well, if you are into happy-endings this one isn't for you. I personally appreciate movies which are more realistic and this movie is one of them. Romantic-movies can be good and realistic - this is something this movie establishes. Nonetheless, a small-amount of fantasy is always available.
The movie begins with describing a typical I.T professional and how he has been neglected and avoided due to his looks and a bit awkward demeanor. The story later develops in a great love-story which may help you understand that love is not always about "having" but many times its about "giving" happiness to someone else.
Many may not like the ending of the movie I too didn't but only later did I realize that great love-stories mostly end tragically - or at least have a sad-ending.

Few things in life aren't so tragic as wasted opportunities. Some people might "cloak" a wasted opportunity in believing that they are doing what is best for someone else. That isn't the case here, even though the writer would like you to believe it is.
Den is 30-year-old man working in the IT department of a company. He has no friends. People at his job scarcely even know his name. He hides behiind computers because he doesn't believe he's worthy of anything else. If he did, he'd find a way to make it happen. Instead, he's a recluse.
Nui is a 28-year-old woman in the marketing department of the same company. She's a bit stuck-up, and finds herself in a relationship with one of her bosses, who just happens to be married with a son. Of course, she's naive enough to believe that he's going to leave his wife. This is the woman that Den has a crush on, much like a 14-year-old kid in high school.
The entire company goes on a trip, and this is where things pick up. Nui, upon finding out that her boss's wife is pregnant, decides upon a suicide attempt. The doctor tells Den that her short-term memory is affected for one day. In short, she will have forgotten everything recent for a single day, but when she wakes up the next morning, she will have recovered her memory, but at the expense of that one day.
Den decides to let her know that he's her boyfriend. She has a hard time believing him. However, as the day goes on, she begins to find something endearing in his sad attempts to impress her. In short, they enjoy the day until upon the verge of an intimate moment, Den confesses his scheme, getting himself thrown out of her hotel room in the process. However, upon finding out that she is a mistress of her boss, Nui doesn't want to go back to that life, and realizes that she wants to be with the only person who loves her: Den.
Den, however, lacks the courage and the conviction to follow Nui's instructions to help her remember how much she loves him. Nui even records a video clip to help her remember, asking Den to make sure to tell her about it the next day, when she will have forgotten everything.
Because of his own sense of worthlessness, Den doesn't do what Nui has asked of him, and so he deletes the clip. One can't feel sorry for Den, nor even think that he's being noble and selfless. He is, in fact, a coward. When love is presented to you, you don't turn your back on it. You don't dismiss it. You take the opportunity that love provides. In short, it's a very pathetic act on his part. But then again, someone who doesn't love themselves enough will do exactly what Den did. So, in truth, he's being who he believes himself to be.
There are some plot holes that don't entirely make the film work, not to mention an abrupt and unfulfilling ending. Why didn't Nui simply write a note to herself about the clip? She could have sent herself a message or even a note about her feelings for Den. I found this to be very short-sighted on the writer and director's part.
The characters are certainly interesting enough, even if both are very flawed and lacking in any true love for themselves. The performances are good as well. However, the movie feels like a train that ran out of track by the time the end comes, leaving one to feel, "Is that it?" Unsatisfying, to be sure.
If nothing else, it should warn people about the "Dens" and the "Nuis" of the world. If you see one, be sure to run the other way!

This story is really cute....BUT....the loopholes! How can a writer make this many mistakes? How come no one caught on while doing this film? She didn't have any memory from the past four years which included her job, the trip they took to Japan and the affair with her boss. All of this was made quite clear in the movie. Had they stuck to that she would have been terribly confused upon waking up in hotel room with no idea why she was there at all. But that isn't what happened. And it only gets worse from there. She remembers her job, the friends she made on that job and the affair. How in the world did these details go ignored? I rated this movie a 7 because up until she woke up in the hotel room it was a really good movie. But had they stuck to the story line it started with I would have rated it a 10.

When the film started, I thought it was gonna be a comedy film like the other films by Chantavit (Hello Stranger, ATM Error, etc.) but the plot started to change eventually. It made me happy, laughed, sad and cried. I love the scene that Denchai proposed Nui in the store. Love doesn't need any reason. It is a must watch for whom love romance and comedy.

Frankly speaking, i could remember two of same concept movies, the first being Sadma and second Just like heaven. In both, the lead actress forgets her past in some way and when she recalls back, she doesn't remember a single instance spent with her greatest well wisher and admirer. However, the only difference that in the former, Sridevi leaves Kaamal Hasan when she is back to normal while in later, Reese get her memory back and still remember Mark Ruffalo, if after a period of time. This one, the story remains hung in between for the user to determine whether Nui will go back to Denshai.
Story is good, acting very good by both the lead actors, locations and set are beautiful and above all, there are few mesmerizing dialogues from Denshai to Nui like, 'even if you won't remember, but i will remember you' and a couple more which stole the show and came out the crux, as per me, of the whole.
Watch it, you won't regret.

Excellent story and dialogue by hearing this story itself i feel very good and induce me to watch whole movie rather than just hear a review...

This is the first time I've ever written a review about a movie but I thought it was that good that I had to. This was just a movie I decided to watch that was on Netflix. I had it in my queue for quite a while because I knew I needed to give it real time to watch because it is subtitled. It starts out as any typical Romance movie, had a few funny moments and I figured it's going to end like every other movie of this genre. Boy was I wrong. It's over 2 hours long and the last half hour or so is gut-wrenching. I'm not going to give anything else away other than that but it was a fantastic movie. I cried for a long time watching it and when it was over. I highly recommend watching this movie.

In my opinion, this movie is one of the fantastic Thai drama movies, especially for someone like me who struggles with love. The story follows an IT support guy who is in love with a marketing woman. The intriguing twist happens when the woman loses her memory for a day. During this time, the guy seizes the opportunity to pretend to be her boyfriend until her memory returns. It makes me think that spending a day with someone we love would be an amazing experience even if it's just for one day. The movie makes me feel lonely and helps me understand how the man feels. It's like you're stuck in a world where everything feels fake and nobody really cares about what you think or feel. But then, when you finally find someone who sees the real you and appreciates your worth, it's like finding a treasure. You feel a deep connection, and you want to do everything you can to make that person happy.
One thing I didn't like about the movie was the beginning because it took a long time to introduce the main character. However, on the other hand, it helped us understand the character's situation better. If they didn't spend so much time at the beginning, they could have made the ending perfect without rushing it. Another thing is that the ending was easy to guess because when the woman's memory came back, she would forget everything she did with the guy. If they had a twist in the plot where the woman remembered her time with the guy, it would have been more interesting.
The director picked Hokkaido, Japan, during wintertime, especially during the Snow Festival, to show that winter is a time when love can easily blossom. Hokkaido's snowy landscapes are peaceful and beautiful, making it a perfect backdrop for romance. The Snow Festival adds excitement and charm to the setting, just like the thrill of falling in love. By choosing this location and time of year, the director makes the movie feel more magical and romantic, highlighting the themes of love and new beginnings.
Finally, I've realized this movie shares important ideas with viewers-like facing truths we can't avoid and accepting them. It suggests that sometimes, the person who loves you might be better for you than the one you love. It sheds light on different aspects of love, helping us understand it a bit better.
I really love movies by director Banjong Pisanthanakun. He's done all sorts of movies, from funny-scary ones like "P Mak" to more classic scary ones like "Medium." But "Fanday" is something special. It's one of his best, in my opinion. The movie mixes romance and drama really well, so you're hooked from the beginning to the end. You can see Pisanthanakun's special way of telling stories in every part of "Fanday." If you're into movies, you're going to check this one out.
