Three Sentences (#1.13)

Warning: Spoilers
Wow three parties on the same day. I thought they would do it separately. All these parties reflected who the kids are and will be. Randall was very impressive knowing at such a young age that a few close friends are more important than a lot of acquaintances. And in present he does the right thing by not letting work take over the great time he can spend with his biological father. Kevin kind of manipulates the love of his life by throwing a princess bride party (really was surprised by that wish at first) although with this trick he hurts his sister. And in the present he comes back to his ex wife to talk. Kate shows the disappointment with neglect she always felt and lets it all out at the fat camp. And we find out that it isn't that long until Jack's death as they weren't adults at the funeral yet which is pretty sad.

So Much Mystery/I Think It's Great

Warning: Spoilers
I was totally exhausted watching that poor family try to have three birthday parties on the same day. It isn't a disaster but it is close. Kate is victimized by her own brother, who syphons off her friends because he is playing to that little girl. We meet her later when she turns out to be his ex-wife. Poor Kate and Randall are rejected for different reasons. Kate's "friends" are so aware of her chubbiness at age 10, and reject her. Now we go into the future and see Kate talking to Toby about going to a fat farm (more of a new age place) and she believes it is going to be one of those military camps where she will be assaulted into exercising and following orders. It turns out it is more about personal discipline and driving the bad out. She rejects it at first, but a guy who takes care of the horses comes into her life. William has decided to get off his chemo and enjoy things more, and there is a wonderfully touching scene when Randall teaches him how to drive. Finally, it is obvious that we are going to soon find out how Jack died. What a show!
