Great Episode

In the countryside of Pennsylvania, Eph and Alex´s car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. They walk to a nearby town that is completely empty and Eph finds a cell phone that belonged to a girl called Emily with a videos where her family is moving to New Horizons. They stay for the night at the family´s house. Then they meet a woman called Francis and find that people that go to New Horizons become not farmers but livestock. In North Dakota, Fet, Quinlan, Roman and Charlotte see a vampire taking another missile from another silo. They decide to steal the plutonium pit and Charlotte lies to the crew telling that there is silver in the truck that will be theirs. Quinlan recalls his life in London in 1988 when he met the young woman Louisa and her daughter. Dutch is imprisoned in a cell and Eichhorst summons her to know where Setrakian is.

"Belly of the Beast" is a great episode of "The Strain". All the segments are engaging, attractive and full of action with many discoveries and revelations. Dutch is growing each episode. My vote is nine.

Warning: Spoilers
Long story short, The Master meets Eph through one of him minions and knows exactly where he is but doesn't send anyone from nearby, huge "human farm" facility to get him? Otherwise good episode.

Reaction / Review for The Strain Season 4 Episode 5 ''Belly of the Beast'' (S4. E5): Episode 4 was bad and I gave it a rating 5.5/10. It seems like Eichorst wants to suck the life out of Setrakian himself. Eichorst told Desai that after he finds Setrakian, Dutch should be drained. Its now or never, Dutch has to escape. I enjoy all the flashbacks with Quinlan. I always love some good Quinlan action. I still wonder what they wanna do with the nuclear warhead. Wow Quinlan wuith human make up looks really cool. Was that lady and Quinlan a thing in the past? It seems like Quinlan cant turn humans into vampires because she bit that lady and she didn't turn. This New Horizons centers look like a scam. Yup the New Horizons is not about starting a new life, it's about ending all lives. Overall a good episode, my rating is 8/10.

Not an accurate Description, not a good Episode

Warning: Spoilers
"Fet and Quinlan have a lead on a nuclear weapon." Correction Fet and Quinlan after ambushing a convoy obtain "the Pit Assembly" of a Nuclear Weapon. Dutch firebombs Thomas Eichorst to save old friend Abraham Setrakian and escape. Eph and Alex find out the horror of what is happening to those shipped out of the City, as "The Master's Final Solution".

Series needs better technical advisers, the inside of a nuclear weapon of that kind (Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Warhead Assembly, usually Thermo Nuclear) do not look like that.

Switching to different filters (blue, orange) decreases the credibility of the Series, as "the fallout" that is blocking the Sun, would not work that way (blocking only certain areas while others get direct Sunlight) due to upper air currents. Orange representing the fallout blocking out the Sun, blue filter is used to color balance to represent normal daylight. The town entered by Eph and Alex would have also had to have the "orange" filter effect, so would the scenes when Fet and Quinlan attacked the convoy, basically any scenes "outdoors". This is just as awful as those inept that put those extremely dark filters on to represent Night, the filters so dark that you cannot see anything, no matter how much you adjust the brightness and contrast on the TV.

The detonation of a Nuclear Device, Strategic or Tactical, Nuclear or Thermonuclear are already known. The Sun emits photons, light energy of various wave lengths, Nuclear Weapons also emit photons of different wave lengths as well as Gamma radiation, Alpha and Beta Radiation as "Fallout". During the initial detonation, regardless of filters, a very large amount of photons are released, what this means is regardless of where the Strigoi (vampires) were hiding at the photons (light energy) would have penetrated and the Strigoi would have burned. Even the holes in a manhole cover would have been enough to allow enough photons to enter underground where the Strigoi normally lived to burn them, this level of photons would also get reflected to illuminate further underground, the concrete tunnels would act as "light conduits", water in the sewers would also reflect and transmit the photons. Humans exposed to these large amounts of photons would have developed Fatal 3rd Degree Burns (to below the dermis and epidermis), those out of range of this effect, if looking in the direction of the initial detonation would have been permanently blinded their retinas burnt. A version of this idea was created that would focus the photon energy and Enhance the Gamma Radiation as the Enhanced Radiation Weapon, aka the misnamed Neutron Bomb. The Photon Energy and Enhanced Gamma Radiation of a Enhanced Radiation Weapon easily passed thru concrete buildings, armored vehicles (tanks, mechanized infantry vehicles), while the Electo Magnet Pulse(s) and lingering Electro Magnetic Radiation basically burns everything electrical (Generators, Alternators, Batteries, Light Bulbs, Computers, any Microprocessors, Electric Motors, Electric Water Pumps (no drinking water), Electrical Wiring and Circuits, Fuses, Circuit Breakers), the Lingering Electro Magnetic Radiation also disrupts any form of Radio Communications.

Also to even remove one of the MIRVs (Multiple Independent Reentry Vehicles) Nuclear Warheads (if you figured out which ones are decoys) you would need a Two Person Team of both an A and B, with the Permissive Action Link (P.A.L.) Device Codes. A Team Members and B Team Members are never stationed with each other, nor are the Codes. If you do not have the codes, and attempt anything, there are different kinds of P.A.L. Devices that will render the Nuclear Weapon "Safe", so much so that nothing can be salvaged to create a nuclear weapon. In The Strain Season 04 Episode 04, the so called U.S.A.F. Missile guy would have known this, making it impossible for him to even remove the access cover to discover that the "Pit Assembly" (that does not look like that) was missing. P.A.L. Team Members and their Unlock Codes are NEVER stationed with the Units that have Two Person Rule Custody of the Nuclear Weapons.

Nuclear Physics (Weapons) and Physiology Officer, Missile Officer were just a couple of the many U.S. Military Officer Career Fields that I earned, and would gain lots of Firsthand Experience with.
