Warning: Spoilers
It was a good regular episode, but i was expected a little bit more. However, some things i like like Tom in this episode, but i don't like much that the evil lady (sorry, i don't recall her name) dies easily and without explanation of her acts. In the latest episodes, I can't stand the First Lady and she feels a lot of suspicious sometimes, i don't know if you're think the same. I like the return of Aaron in the politics, but i don't know if i am convinced with him working with Hookstraten, but i'll like to see him back with Emily.

+ Aaron's back in politics. + The scene in the Town Hall. + Hannah and Jason working together.

  • The problems are fixed quite easily. - Feels a little boring. - The first lady - The guns dilemma

Chatty

This episode has Kirkman making one speech after another. His presentation at the town hall got really soapy. Then the First Lady goes places she shouldn't and they have to backpedal. Now they have made an enemy who is all wrapped up in the 2nd amendment. There's a lot more. Welle's continues to go off on her own and show her cards. Our sociopath appears. It just seemed like an empty episode, although the conclusion is rather striking.

A rather weak episode

The idea behind Designated Survivor is intriguing and the first half of the season was quite good, you could call it a mix of House of Cards and Homeland, although both series are better than DS.

However, the last two episodes, and especially this one, are weak. The political plot is boring and extremely naive. It is full of poorly written speaches which seem to be the solution of every problem. The characters of Emily and Seth, both interesting in the beginning, got really annoing. Emily has turned into an arrogant know-it-all which is really hard to watch.

Agent Wells acts stupidly. Another key witness gets killed, it feels like for the 100th time in this series. Again, she goes solo berserk mode with no backup whatsoever. That's just lazy writing.

Devoide of nuance

This series was recommended to me so I gave it a shot and a fair one at that (15 episodes) but I just cannot watch anymore.

It's 24 with Canadian production values, some okay acting some not so much. It borrows heavily from 24's style & tricks (I suspect K.Sutherland has a lot to do with most of it) constantly trying to inject urgency & tension through corridor walking scenes, dramatic audio & fantastically contrived situations that spring from nowhere.

The problem with DS is that once you strip away the cheap parlor tricks, it doesn't hold-up as it lacks any semblance of depth & forget about nuance.

Basically, it's easy mind-numbing chill-out viewing & that's not for me, least not in this case.

Zoom in. Enhance. Enhance. Enhance.

Aaaaand ya lost me.

I've felt like a battered spouse coming back for more abuse, but in this 15th episode, and after too many chances, I'm not wasting anymore Netflix bandwidth. Congrats for getting my attention in the first episode. Shame on me for sticking around.

Bills start in the House of Representatives and are then passed on to the Senate!!!! This plot has it backwards. Didn't anyone catch this before they started filming? Didn't anyone read the script?

Warning: Spoilers
The "Gender Wage Gap" has been debunked a long time ago, if it were true not a single man would have a job to save the corporations a 33 cents on the dollar. So stop with the raging feminist lies.

And imagine a world where the "gun control" agenda was flipped on its head and people protecting their family with a firearm was held up as a good thing instead of pushing the "crazed gunman" line which only punishes the majority for the actions of a very very few. That's not the American way. Start addressing the real issues like perhaps the fact that the mentally ill are allowed to walk among us since the closure of mental hospitals in the 1970s.

We have a mental illness problem in America, not a gun problem.

I'd like to imagine a world where the truth was held up rather than party propaganda. The WGA is mostly comprised of Marxists now. Something needs to be done about this as well.

Warning: Spoilers
It's finally time to govern after all the mayhem that has occurred and Kirkman sets up his agenda. Not nice is to see that social security is a problem to solve after the 100 day period and that the age should be raised to collect. Does Kirkman want to be elected in his own right? People remember these things.

Nice to see that his staff recommended personalizing when the President holds a town meeting. The first lady creates a fuss with her views on gun control. That senator who has different views from the president supposedly is looking for accommodation, but future episodes shall contradict this and Kirkman and his aides already see through Bowman the senator.

Aaron going to work for the Republicans shall have to be explained further. His cousin seems like a very idealistic liberal. Wait until she sees firsthand the workings of Washington.
