Fiction can still be part way believable.

Warning: Spoilers
I'm a big horror movie fan. What I look for the most is being able to put myself in it and that is where my scare factor comes in. If it isn't at all believable than its just fun to watch for me, it takes all the horror or drama out of the movie. Now if my 9-year old would watch he would be scared no matter what, just like I would be when my older sibling watched Nightmare on Elm street, she jumped minimally appearing to be not nearly as freaked as me. I would hide, so I could watch too, since I wasn't allowed. It was mortifying, with me not fully understanding fiction back then. We watch this type of movie for the suspense and wonder so when this guy stated they were safe from any intruders because the camera flashing and the alarm sounding would keep them safe I immediately lost my interest. If they really think that would be enough to scare an intruder away, come on. When it was triggered that first time he stated his theory on the alarm and camera going off was one of them sleep walking, geez. Let's not forget his second bloody nose and blood also coming from his ears, and he still continued to argue freaking out to NOT leave. I hate seeing stupidity by the characters. Let's just run into a closet where the bogeyman is or fall down when jumping off the porch, but they have to run a mile back to get to the porch that basically is right behind the person. Make reactions by characters more believable.

Nothing

Warning: Spoilers
Watch 2 people hear a strange noise in the woods. They are stuck there. One dies and one escapes. Cause is unknown. Bloody noses I guess. Awful.

There is just nothing here

I hate to give something one star. It seems excessive and hacky. But this was basically all atmosphere and no story, and sound effects and shots of the forest can only take you so far. Neither character was likeable, so you can toss that out the window as well even though the acting wasn't horrible for people who are fluent in English - but not CONVERSATIONALLY fluent. As in, maybe someone should have been brought in to smooth out the rough edges in the dialogue. The blurb for this on Tubi is "A young couple on vacation at a remote destination are (should be "is") stalked by something evil that tries to claim their lives when one of them is mortally injured.". I'm 'not even sure how much of that is even accurate, having watched the film, beyond they seemed to be at a remote house. Maybe it's genius. Maybe if you leave the entire story to the audience to fill in the blanks, each person will fill them in as per their personal preferences and everyone walks away happy. I just need a little more.
