Nice movie ,, new style of comedy
Aktham_Tashtush7 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The movie is really good ,, had a new style of Montage and apparently the directing popped by Mateo Gil, which is a renowned figure in modern Spanish cinema.

The plot was strong,, connected,, but here's where i had an issue ,, the comedy itself was not that recognizable ,, i mean the genre of the movie is /or reflecting as 70% comedy and 30% romance ,, and to be honest the comedy wasn't that great .. though "as a physicist myself" , i really loved the parts where they bring people speak about physics and thermodynamics laws and then apply it into real life ,, that was a nice touch.

the cast was good ,, not wow .. Vito Sanz is actually funny ,, wanted to see more of Chino Darín (Pablo) he could've raise up the comedy level if he had more lines.

Overall, the movie is good ,, least to say ,Interesting .. so it is recommended.

Original Take
ivans53625 March 2019
The movie certainly has an original concept, namely explaining human relationships through physics, and the way it's shot is different and fresh.

The story is also not bad. Although not very original, it shows us the beauty as a relatively sympathetic person, sorely misunderstood by our protagonist. This is a welcome departure from the standard of nerds being portrayed as the perpetual good guys, always misused by vapid beauties..

But what seems to be the movies strengths, are ultimately also the causes of it's problems Namely the big problem of pacing is partially owed to constructing the story in this extremely nonlinear mock documentary, which simply kills the tempo of the film. Secondly, with the pacing so uneven, the protagonist's neuroses become almost insufferable.

All in all a good fresh movie worth a watch, but unfortunately far from great.

Thumbs up
myotherpetisdog3 September 2018
Original, funny, clever, educating, entertaining with some nudity and sex scenes to spice it up. Nice soundtrack. Berta Vázquez is gorgeous ( Ukrainian mother/Ethiopian father). The best thing that happened to her was to be adopted (???) at the age of 3 by a Spain' family. She escaped extreme poverty of 90s and racism in Ukraine. The whole story is a mystery, but her clever mother did the right thing. I recommend this film. It might not appeal to the older generations.

To get a glimpse of what it is like for a black (mixed) child to grow up in Russia or Ukraine, watch "Gagarin's Grandson", 2007. A comedy with tragic notes and heart breaking open ending.

Now on Netflix
foarfece30 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I must admit that the trailer showed up on my screen on Netflix while I was looking for something to match! Good marketing investment, Netflix!

This movie is a nerdy romantic comedy. It's nerdy, because it uses physics - don't believe everything you hear is accurate- to describe the interaction between the 4 main characters. The romantic interaction between the professor and the model is detailed as the not-so-charming professor proves that confidence and belief would have managed to keep the model as a girlfriend, instead of what he thought - the entropy between two bodies and *something about science".

Behind the scenes, his best friend turns from a gigolo to a steady and committed man, due to the persistence and resistance of his girlfriend.

If you have nothing to do, this is a movie you can watch and although it will not bring anything new to the table, it will be entertaining and describing clishe relationship situations in an original way.

It is quite a good and educative way to explain what we call love and affection. It was demonstrated with charming characters in a way that anybody can relate. I also loved the animations and documentariesque scenes.

When science meets fantasy
gjr-8516531 August 2018
It's a shame that the so-called scientist in the film and those who wrote it have failed to test for the fact that the second law of thermodynamics is nullified when certain arrangements of materials are met- as is the case with a box layered with organic and inorganic material. Too bad hollywood is just a propaganda machine churning out sludge for the mushy-minded masses.

Annoying
It's annoying how they over use the comments of the scientist for every single scene of the movie

Laugh at destiny
bjpafa8 September 2018
It's funny, educational, smart but not pompous. Includes outside Catalonia locations. Charming characters, once thermodynamicaly balanced. On the shoulders of giants, have a good laugh at life, love, destiny and free will. Charming, tastefull, wide minded, modern, sometimes even touching. Scientifically correct about concepts.

Annoying, pretentious, trying too hard to be cool and failing.
iosu_vakerizzo11 March 2021
This movie is pretentious and dumb at the same time. It talks down at the audience while trying hard to be cool and original but failing completely. A constant "cool" narration makes the film incredibly annoying. Dont waste your time.

IS THERE A PART TWO?
mlascencio3 September 2018
This is the first tittle I watch in Netflix that made me want to know if there are more parts coming up, this is genius, accurate and dummy prove explicatory of the biggest of the realities, being literal.

The perfect approach that can help anyone understand the generality to arrive to the understanding of our human particularities.

The movie is originally in Castellano and English what appeared to me as an incredible design of the film because there is not better way to speak about science than in English and about passion than in Spanish.

Another prove that Spanish Cinema never will let you down, they keep up the flag of mastery in the education of all their actors, directors and cinematographers.

Something completely different
markosremac-247-32950217 February 2020
This movie was so refreshing. It is something totally new. This a combination between documentary and romantic comedy. I would never say this is something that can be linked together, but it can! ...and it also works perfectly! Young people should learn physics in schools with this movie. I highly recommend this for everyone who likes real science and nice comedy.
