The actor playing the cow in the "trademark logo" at the beginning of the film is actually the main actor, Aric Bunch. This logo dates back to as early as 2008 to 2009, where an earlier version of it was first used in a little middle school video made by Michael Bunch (the director). The logo was re-filmed in HD for this film in 2015, using the original logo poster cutout, and this is the first film in which this updated cow intro was used. The logo was originally Aric's idea, and since Aric and Michael are brothers, they often worked together to make their goofy visions a reality.
The voice of the intercom in the opening office scene was performed by the director, Michael Bunch.
The logo from the director Michael Bunch's YouTube channel "CheeseTree43" acts as a brief Easter egg when the news first comes on the television. It says "NEWS HISTORY TIME Brought to you by: CheeseTree43." There are also a lot of goofy sentences scrolling along the ticker tape at the bottom of the screen, during the news report. Some sentences subtly/directly refer to the character Joe Buyer's life and the fact that he is eating cereal while watching the current news segment. Some make silly hints to what is soon to be revealed about all the people on earth disappearing.
The Crazy Random Old Guy, who appears later in the film as a walking cane salesman, makes a brief photographic cameo in the news segment. It shows a mug shot of him on the top right of the screen with a caption below that says "Who is this man?" It makes it funnier that this Crazy Random Old Guy is actually played by the director, Michael Bunch.
The main actor, Aric Bunch, makes a secret cameo in the news segment as an angry protester. It is hidden by his disguise of Groucho Marx gag glasses, a gray golf cap, and the fact that he is holding his protest sign over most of his face. The other protesters and people appearing in the news segment are all friends and family of the director, Michael Bunch. The photo of President Smith is actually the director's father.
