Great episode
85122223 September 2018
Greetings from Lithuania.

"Todos Los Hombres del Presidente", 9th episode of great season 3 was probably the most tense episode in this season yet. Many things came together at the end, and everything was done superbly, as usual.

Overall, season 3 is a great season of Narcos. You kinda get so involved into the lives of these people, that you can't stop watching it. Only great shows can pull that of.

Episode 309

Warning: Spoilers
We are seeing more and more shows have the penultimate episode of the season as the most climactic one where all the action is and the buildup to next year starts in the finale. It is a little different for this show since I expect Season 4 to be a fresh beginning, but it is hard to imagine anyone not liking this episode.

Jorge surviving the plastic bag choking that long is a little improbable, but this was all-out action and a heart-stopping hour of TV.

An Entertaining Climax to the Season
Samuel-Shovel15 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
With the DEA's window for catching Don Miguel closing fast, Pena makes a desperate last gasp attempt to apprehend him, springing a trap on Miguel to flush him out of his fortress. David continues to look into the mole and finds out some important information regarding Jorge and his connection to the DEA.

The tension in this one was raised to a crescendo. Jorge and his family's livelihood was in danger every scene they were involved in. The scene with the raid on Miguel's hideout was graphic! This show does a great job with its cinematography.

I was a little surprised that this wasn't the season finale of the show. That climax seemed like a good ending but I guess a few loose ends need to be tidied up before we end Season 3.

Relentlessly fast and intense
TheBigSick3 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
To be honest, this is one of the fastest and the most intense crime thrillers I've ever seen. Not a single second is wasted. There are so many intriguing questions in the episode such that you have to hold your breath and stare on the screen all the time. Can Agent Pena take down Miguel? Can Jorge survive? Can Jorge's dependents survive? There are plenty of twists and turns as well. When you think Miguel will leave his building, he receives the call from David and stays. When the audience think that it is a victory that Miguel is arrested, Agent Pena realizes that the president is bought by the Cali Cartel and the DEA never had a chance.

Best episode.

Warning: Spoilers
This was the first time in Narcos history that such a big informant of DEA, Jorge and his family was saved unharmed. This made this episode more thrilled and interesting. That much of drama makes it the best season of Narcos. Even the President is with the Cartel🤐🤐. Think Pablo was supported by the President then what would have happened 🤔.

The ending was a little bit of a downer, rightfully so

Warning: Spoilers
This episode really reminded me of the last episode of season 2 in the way it was set up. The very ending was different tho and I still don't really understand what's up with the president and how the head of the DEA knew etc.

Hollywood Ending
dizexpat23 April 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I can see why so many people love this episode. It has Hollywood Ending written all over it. Yes it's good, as is the whole series, but also a bit over-the-top in setting up the dramatic capture and rescue sequence. We know that Salcedo will live because he's been cast as "the good guy". But they have to make it as suspenseful as possible so that he very nearly dies (even though we know he won't). It's a safe bet that it didn't happen this way. I love the series but this is probably my least favorite episode from Season 3.

Gripping

Warning: Spoilers
A great climax, although it's only fault is that it feels in some ways like a repetition of a previous episode where Agent Peña tried to get hold of Miguel Rodriguez with Jorge's help. The difference is that this time he's successful, but that was predictable anyway- there's no way you'd expect him to fail twice. So it's fortunate that this episode is so much about other things. Jorge being the informant provides the most tension in the episode. I thought either him or his wife would die, which meant in any scene involving him or his wife there was tension. That almost excuses the fact that the "informant storyline" is something that has been done to death already and this one offers little new. The most bumming part of the episode is near the end, when everything has gone well and then you find out the Colombian government will have the Cali Cartel's back anyway. Really gets across how despite Peña doing so much to fight the drug trade, it's still futile in the end.

Such a disappointment
lyb3-891-98588310 November 2017
Without an a priori strong character like Pablo, the writers of this season had to start from scratch in order to keep us engaged. And I must say, they did a wonderful job crafting the dark, unjust, raw Narco-world. Up until this episode. Everything - from the generic shootouts to the naive ex machina moments, I absolutely hated. And I simply can not believe this episode could be the highest rated of the season. There was so much emotional depth in some the previous ones, so much brutal realism. Not many mainstream shows dare to explore those. How could anyone have missed that?

Also - the intro was out of sync, it seems that I am the only one that has spotted this. Bad episode. Peace.
