This episode made me retch several times. And no it wasn't the Double Pepperoni. It was the "sure, I'll spend millions and millions of dollars to build parks." And who gets to look after these parks? Uhhh, wha'? You mean, we's gots to spend mo' money after? Screw dat! And this pure genius bought six lots to turn into fenced off parks.
"It's OK, I'm a doctor! She's my patient!" Oh wait, it's the kid that's been run over.
And that woman, Amelia. How unlikeable a character could be, unsympathetic and willing to die just to spite her father who let her down when she was a kid. Yeah, you made your own death choice when you decided to "wean" yourself off of anti-depressant medications (or were they anti-psychotics?). Sure, you seem so "normal". Cripes, if that's normal, let me get on the Death Panel: I'll vote her to a slow death just to teach her a lesson. Bell the "Gee-n-yuss" figgers he can git ol' Doc W to fix it for him cause he built an Electric Nose. Amelia's father turns out not to be so alcoholic as she described: Dr Wally finds him in a bar fighting off the urge to drink. So they wind up saving this woman's life when Dad gives her a huge chunk of his recovered liver.
Final scene, Doc W goes home to eat pizza with his pouting son who seems to rule the house with his rules, putting down his mother. I would have kicked that little bastard out, telling him to NEVER treat his family like crap.
The pilot seemed to be OK, but this is just not a very good show. No score. Not going to dignify it with anything out of 10. ZIP.
