This episode features Nicole being angry that her family doesn't remember an important date. We don't find out what it is until the end. At first when she's singing about it at one point, we think it's about the time she and Richard met, but it's actually their wedding anniversary. Highlights include a scene where the family doesn't know what Nicole wants, so they create a party that's as generic as possible. They literally create white balloons and tapestry that doesn't specify what day it is. Their cake features a gingerbread man shrugging.
There's also probably the best part where it shows the screen with a line between it. Nicole and the kids are trying to stop Richard from getting a tattoo. They literally bump into the line in the middle of the screen and it keeps changing their perspective. They even hit a car because they can't see ahead! It's meta humor like this which makes this the funniest kid's show I've ever seen. It's great for Anais to figure out that Nicole was wrong the whole time, too. I also love the scene where they make the sound effects and rain but it electrocutes Richard! ***1/2
