Nice school romance with a musical touch
mister_bateman21 October 2020
The story is a bit ridiculous. From the girl dying at the beginning with the boy confessing on her deathbed that he loves her and her saying "why did you tell me this now" and him being teleported back in time just to try any repeat the whole year without confessing to her because the clueless idiot thinks he shouldn't have, instead of just doing it earlier, to the school forbidding bands even outside of class hours with teachers even monitoring the local bars. Also, you don't really feel the chemistry between the two lovers. But all that aside, it's nevertheless entertaining and charming and unlike many other examples of this genre, it never gets boring. Also, music being made is always nice to watch.

Not Good Enough
PennyReviews28 August 2019
"Second summer never see you again" was not a movie with a plot that you have never watched before. However, it had nice music.

The movie starts with pretty much spoiling the whole plot, as the main lead is revealed to be dying and she leaves the male lead with an apology. He is heartbroken and somehow goes back in time to relive their summer and "make things right". So, the whole point of the movie is for him to not fall in love with her. Even though he was already in love with her... Or, at least, not to have her know about his feelings.

Other than that, the forming of the band was nice. Plus, the girl had a beautiful voice.

So, overall, five out of ten.
